Is it weird that I was slightly offended when somebody said there must be something better to eat then me
They were just teasing Cate; nothing could be sweeter to eater.

Now where's that cherry chapstick?

PS: Cate, enjoy your Kingston concert tomorrow night!

... are you really in farm country? (at least you have binoculars).. I would have thought you a city slicker.. a Londoner of fun and fashion..

.. oh, also, Martine.. what is it with the 'S'??? I'm confused.. and admittedly fuzzy thinking at times... I heard there was a HarryS at one point.. related to William (who may or may not have been fictional).. is that what you're referring to?.. since.. well, I thought Harry S. was mickey_one (Lord of One, etc)...

.. lastly.. would you tell Mr. Sirus that a pm from me has been waiting for him for ages now?? (it's not for you Geoffrey, by the way, so hands off, thank you very much)...

thanks, M.,

You gave me some very sad thoughts suzanneorange. Do you really think that there are people doing that? People giving themselves confirmation.
Lazariuk,
I don't know if you are pulling my leg or not, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. I don't post much, but I do lurk around quite a bit and I've lived long enough to spot a reincarnated bully when I see one.

This was written by John K. in February:

Michael has taken on so many abusive troll personas in this forum that he's likely not able to remember all their names, nor the email addresses that the passwords would be sent to if he were to try and revive them.

Unfortunately, there are those in the forum who, while they don't often bully others like he does, egg him on because they think he's funny. He can be funny, he was hysterically funny the day I met him.

You can draw your own conclusions. Until this past weekend, I hadn't been to the Poetry section of the Leonard Cohen Forum since the summer of 2007. What a disappointment it was to see the same old nonsense with the same old players.

Of course, as before, those who confront him are roundly abused as well. Here, let me bend over Michael, there's plenty to serve as an easy target.

Best wishes,

John K.

As John says, you can draw your own conclusions

Do you draw any particular conclusions that anne left after misinterpreting an inoffensive haiku about playing with the words "dog" and "cat", then doesn't have the guts, eloquence or elegance to explain?

I look forward to your response whilst anne hides from her offensive mistake but I won't hold my breath, I've lived long enough to spot a reincarnated sycophant when I see one.

Hi Suzanne

I think you missed my point. I am well aware that people post here sometimes using a multitude of names and that to me is not sad. Maybe it is good that people experiment with acting in different ways to find out what can help them get what they are looking to get.

Even if I know that someone is pretending to be someone else I don't mind interacting with them if they are at least being a genuine fake. I think that in a way that is even how Leonard once described himself.
What brought me a lot of sad thought was your suggesting that Harry and Marsha were one and the same right after Marsha spoke of Harry in a confirming way. The reason that is sad is that it would show how poor we have been at giving each other confirmation. If someone thought it necessary to give it to themselves it shows how closed this place must seem to those looking for authentic meeting.

Also I think that Michael is being given a big disservice by anyone suggesting that Harry was one of his appearances. I do think he can be a Mike as Geoffrey said but not a Michael. It is not my natural inclination to speak highly of Michael but as Geoffrey said "He is our Michael" or something to that effect.

lazariuk may be a crashing bore and an overblown self-regarding pretentious prig, but I do have the following points to make in his defense

I happened upon this...whaddaya know...someone actually does read what I write in the forum.

Oh, and I know it was in the Haiku thread, but when I was called "a son of a viper" it was meant as a insult of my character and integrity, that I was lying because it was impossible that I disagreed. My old forum insult, "Maroon", would have applied, but I stopped using it.

And I'm still waiting for a plausible explanation of why Michael (as "Sideways") was signing postings as "Geoffrey". Yes, I'm going to bring that up periodically on an ongoing basis until I get bored doing it. Since I don't do it too often it's likely I won't get bored.

Love,

John K. (aka Asshole, Pompous, Ignoramus, and the Viper's Son)
