Harry S driven off forum
the "Infinite Haiku" thread, the resting home for those who have given up on proper writing, does at least give friends here a chance to indulge in the perfectly acceptable pastime of mutual masturbation.
but answering your own haikus, literary self-pleasuring, the next thing a poster will boast of stealing passwords and reading private mail, and a collaborator will make self-basting excuses for him. it must be time to go

Before you go, though... please catch up on your homework... of flooding the section with 'retrieved' threads with your own, 30 responses, so cleverly indulged that no one answered... and 14 of them all in a row.
My better suggestion would be your initiation of a new thread titled, i.e. "Infinitely Profane, Rude, and Clever, Mutually-Masturbatory Haiku"
.
Just happened to come across this... an ode to you as you go?

reviving old threads led to a number of comments for works that had been otherwise ignored. the "no replies" bit is your fantasy. I have no apologies for this mischief.
answering your own haiku is a crime, albeit a minor one, but, characteristically, you have no apologies for that.
now stop extending my stay herewith oyur excuses, when the computer goes off this evening that's it.

I recall making a very similar, positive comment to you on this... early on, prior to the string of revivals with your responses of one- or two-word, some might say, inanities.reviving old threads led to a number of comments for works that had been otherwise ignored
You're right that I have no apologies... with no reason for apologies... for the sheer number and nature of my string of haikus this morning. So right. One driven off by a lot of crudeness... the other by a string of kindness. You're a heavy-handed Myopic Manners Master. Hmmm. I'll put my hat in the ring where I feel it best goes.
... at least for "Harry S" ~when the computer goes off this evening that's it.

... I'm truly having just the lousiest day, I'm afraid.. my head hurts, and I'm not following all the nuances of this gooey hi coo coo dispute... but for what it's worth, I was just getting used to having this Harry amalgam around.. remember the pearl analogy?.. one does need that gritty bit of sand to produce a gem.. and, as much as I hate to admit this, the universe probably has to have its Harry's.. it's in the order of things, it seems.. besides, he quite often has a useful point to make that one can either agree with or not... n'est pas?
.. oh, and Anne, I hope you continue contributing your haikus... you're like our very own haiku treasure... (yours are very often quite good too, Lizzy)...
all good things to all here,
(and now I'll go back to my lousy day),

Gritty sand is one thing, Vi. We all return from lovely days at the beach filled with it. And reasonable commentary works well for making good points.
Dirty underwear and juvenile sexual comments broken up into separate lines, with insults directed at respectable people is another.
I hope your day gets better. Mine certainly took a turn for the worse when I saw Anne leave.

... oh... I said I wasn't following this too closely... on the other hand, he did start off with me a while back by soliciting sex, so I probably have a fair idea of what his methods are... Harry.. can't you go for a more genteel* approach??
.. like I said, I guess it's time I go back to my lousy day,

... I had "gentile" here before -- not what I meant, only now I'm trying to decide what that would mean if I did mean it...

Re: Harry S driven off forum
Violet- you were trolled not solicited. I should know.
anneporter said goodbye following this haiku
"doggerel is yours
catapult mine, animal
perversion is ours"
why anyone in the world would object to a play on the words containing "dog" and then "cat", my "animal perversions" of language, is a small mystery.
why be so troubled by Geoffrey's hobnail boots, just take his last line and deal with it wittily
"with his hobnailed boots
and with his hobnob biscuits
Geoffrey steals passwords"
hobnob biscuits are an office favourite btw. whatever Geoffrey writes you just know he is talented, it brings the thread and the forum alive to read someone whose mind is alive and who can play intelligently with language.
talking of which, when Lizzy was flooding the board this afternoon she ended one of her haikus with the line
"concerned to show self"
and it was followed by this
"concerned to show self
ish writing by Lizzy,he
sacrificed himself"
brilliant
The Haiku thread is evil in its gross blandness. I have done my best to make a visitor think that wit is not wholly forbidden here and it is possible to think laterally and originally.
This is my favourite from today,
"let the plebs eat cake
let the celebs eat plebs and
anneporter eat Cate"
delicious, and such a beautiful ending with Cate going back to cake, (although I would prefer Cate and Cream anyday) genius
goodbye

Ahhhh!!!!! what's happening.
I really like Lizzy's quote at the bottom of her posts.
Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken
I hope that's not a crock. I hope it doesn't mean be yourself as long as ....
Harry is Harry, whether he's Englebert or Angela or agent 69.
Ann has written some very good haiku's and I would love to see some of her attempts outside of the game where she's had some serious time to put things together. I actually e-mailed somebody a while ago to let them know they should check out the current thread because I thought he would appreciate the new poets. Speaking of which, there is another Haiku thread that could be used if more room is needed or what about starting a thread just for shorts- a not a game one.
Personally I like the mix of haiku here it's nice to see many people posting. I often think Harry's haikus are funny (not always - but often enough that I'll click if I see his name).

there are 2 types of Haiku that Harry writes. ones that you understand and think are funny, and ones you don't understand.Cate wrote: I often think Harry's haikus are funny (not always - but often enough that I'll click if I see his name).

Re: Harry S driven off forum
Oh sure it's a scream until somebody sticks an apple in your mouth and you realize the hot rocks your lying on really really hot and may not be part of a spa treatment at all.
Is it weird that I was slightly offended when somebody said there must be something better to eat then me?

You gave me some very sad thoughts suzanneorange. Do you really think that there are people doing that? People giving themselves confirmation.suzanneorange wrote:thanks for the clarification, Harry, I mean, Marisha
