Hydra meetup in 2005???
Hydra meetup in 2005???
At the NY Event it seemed that many would like to return (or go for
the first time) to Hydra. We discussed the possibility of a very
unofficial get-together on Hydra in mid-June next year, 2005. This
would be no Event but a gathering of all who would like to see
the island, enjoy the delicious food at the taverns and just be
together without any systematic program. Mid-June would be the
perfect timing - the tourist season has not began yet but the
weather is already very pleasant. Anybody interested??

No I have not seen that film. Allthough I once did see a film about piratewoman who had a bunch of men working the oars in the belly of huge ship. She was so adorable, allthough pretty rough on the men. One of the men, a rather poetic kindda guy, gathered once his courage, and let go off his oar to write the perfect lovepoem for her. The ship then went out of the correct course and sailed into a small island. Offcourse the piratewoman went mad.
-Who did this to me and my ship, she shouted
But a deep silence had seized the men. Perhaps they felt that this was indeed a speciel moment, and they would not want to spoil it by giving away the poetic guy.
-now, WHO, is it, the piratewoman insisted, increasingly angry
she looked at the pityful bunch of worn down men. They were dirty, smelling, and didn't even have the guts to stand up to her. No wonder woman controlled the world, she thought to her self. If only they wanted part of the power, they could have it, but they are too weak, and satisfied with the job they have, working for others, making the ship sail.
-Hah haaha ha, she laughed. I guess I will have to cut your football ration this week!
A deepest silence swept over the faces of the men. Could this really be. Would she be able to do such an evil deed. They were in chock. They looked with anguish towards her to try to figure out if she meant what she said. Obviously she did.
Then the poetic guy suddenly stood up.
-ehhm, he cleared his throat. I have written this tiny text for you. This was the reason for the ship going off course. I shall be glad to read it for you...eehm its very short...ehhm your pirateness
The piratewoman looked at him with disbelief.
-A Poem, a poem!! Do I look like someone who would like to hear a poem, she cried out
-well eehmm, the poetic man answered. I would not dare to ever discribe what you look like. You cannot make an ocean wave stand still for it to paint...oh piratewoman.
she looked at him with her blood boiling like those volcanos she always did adore as a child.
-Lets hear it then you miserable little man, I shall be only glad to cook your testicles afterwards!
And the poetic man went:
You are a pirate, Im only a man
rowing the oars is all that I can
You in controle, by the beauty and soul
Im on the oar just playing my role
Thunder may come and the thunder may go
give your command, you know I will row
Though it is hot, oh way down below
by rowing your boat my love I can show
You may despise me, for this that I do
but hey piratewoman I do it for you
...How the story ends after the poetic man read his poem, I shall not disclose. There is an ending. But I have decided to keep it my heart. Im sorry this may seem a bit unfair. But "everybody knows the deal is rotten."
