long interview/article in the sun newspaper - friday october 29 - something for the weekend supplement - not online as far as i can discern.
...another standout is one of the rawest, most remarkable renditions of lenoard cohen's hallelujah.
diamond and his guitarist hadley hockensmith prove it can be done without an overblown x-factor-style arrangement.
"hadley is a really extraordinary guitar player and i just said : "had, let's just try this, you and me, and let's see first if i can sing this song and let's see first if i can sing this song and let's just see if it feels good.
"we listened and we liked it and you may be hearing the very first take we tried. it was that undisciplined.
"when you decide to make an album, suddenly it becomes populated by masses of people and opinions but this was just two guys in a recording studio saying "hey, let's see if we can do this one""...
