Molly Sanden's Swedish "Hallelujah"

Post by ragazzo_vienne »

I just stumbled across a swedish version of "Hallelujah", by Molly Sanden.

Here's a link to the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sop2Tmikiug

Now, if anyone here speaks swedish, I would really like to know what she's singing - I have a suspicion that it hasn't got all too much to do
with the song we all know... it doesn't even mention David, if I'm not mistaken. :-)

Here are the lyrics:

According to Google Translate:

There is a song that says it all
As warm when the wind blows cold
That attracts you to weep or rejoice
It has something that grabs
And leads you from night to day
And suddenly you want to sing "Hallelujah"

It shows that we belong together
As a cautious joy
Unites us is the bitter-sweet
The life we have to deal with
And everything we did and everything we did
So we can dare to shout "Hallelujah"

There is a song of simplicity
What little we know
It speaks to the beautiful and the ugly
It bathes us in the moonlight
So skjälvande but still clean
A fractured but beautiful hallelujah

And all the dreams we have dreamed
It is beautiful that we almost forgot
Remains and we can no longer lie
You cry and you hear your voice
You hear a word that will give you comfort
A bare and simple hallelujah

Wow, those automatic translators seem to have come a long way! I remembered them as basically useless, that's why I didn't try.

At any rate - no relation to the original, right? ;-)

No relation at all really, I did listen to the youtube link and to me it was a bit like a Swedish Alexander Burke! :?
