An economic question

Hi, I am a fan of Mr. Cohen since 30 years. I buy his LPs and later his CDs and I see them at a lot of people at home who also buy them. But Wikipedia says that Mr. Cohen has sold (only) 6 Millionen records worldwide??? I can`t believe it. I think it must be 100 Millionen or more in the last 30- 40 years since he produces music. Does anybody knows more? Thank and excuse me for writing about such material things on the birthday of such an immaterial and spritual man like Mr. Cohen.

It's more by now, Ten New songs sol 1 million in 2001 only.
But the numbers were more or less true, at least until 2000s.
