~ Several things ~

I feel like I've just been in the living room of Leonard and Anjani. The sweet lightness of their interaction is so natural and charming. Anjani clearly loves and adores him... she can hardly contain herself from laughing and giggling at every clever thing he says. Their relationship is still so fresh and their enjoyment of each other so crystal clear. They tease and they laugh, and in both they are genuinely good friends. You can see Leonard's love for Anjani, too... the way he just opens up with a smile for her. Even at the end, when she rose to go sing, he instinctively followed. Such a pleasure to see them together, delighting in each other like this. I couldn't stop smiling and laughing myself.

I could mention each time that struck me so pleasurably, yet I won't. This is simply a wonderful interview. I loved all that Leonard said about the four Norwegians singing "Hallelujah" ~ I'd love to hear this recording that has the audience joining in for the chorus. I was glad to see Leonard be able to share his gratifying exchange with Adam about Adam's and Lorca's ability to go on, despite Leonard's loss of fortune, and that Leonard just needs to focus on his own needs regarding it.

I had to baby my way through this to watch it. I'll need to return to watch Al Gore's portion. You know I had to see Leonard and Anjani first. It kept freezing, though the counter would continue. I had to back up, go forward, back up, go forward, like I've done so many times as I've tried to get a car unstuck from out of mud or snow. Finally, I made it through it all... thank heaven. I wouldn't have wanted to miss a single word of this!! At the end, however, Anjani was not there singing... the counter had counted, and the arrow had moved, as far as they could to the right. Is it possible to get this footage elsewhere?

I liked what Al Gore had to say about the current, environmental crisis, dovetailing what Leonard had said about change having to begin in the heart. It really is ironic that Al, Leonard, and Muhammed have all lived in Tennessee, too... considering all the states there are here, and that Tennessee is considered to be rather rural.

What is the footage of the two young women with the car and then in the car and then crossing their fingers and laughing all about?

Hi all,

Has anyone been able to confirm whether or not Leonard and Anjani are actually appearing at the Midlands festival in Ireland next July? It is listed on the festival site as Leonard Cohen introducing Anjani, but is she a definite and will he be there himself? I know Red Poppy has already mentioned the possibility of an Irish appearance by the 'Super Duo', but i thought there would be more of a buzz around here if they were confirmed. Does anyone have any definite information before i buy a ticket!!?!

Vow Lizzy,you can say it, but i agree. There seems to be a lovely relationship between them.
You need a good broadband connection to see the video without it stopping.

I'm smitten by this interview of Leonard and Anjani, and I'm still smitten by these four young men singing "Hallelujah." I'm so happy for them getting to meet Leonard in person and having him sign their album.

It was very interesting being able to see them sing together at the Live at Spellemann Awards show. They do so well together. The harmonica was unexpected and very pleasing.

Thanks for your explanation about the girls... I guess it's the segue between Al Gore and Leonard and Anjani.

Still... no Anjani singing

... no matter the link or the source. Do you suppose it's since been edited out?? Is that possible when you've linked to the 'original' videotaping?

It pleases me that people can see that Norway is not just a country of whale killers with polar bears walking in our streets but that we also can perform music.
The only thing i can think of that is blocking people in other countries from seeing all the video is that NRK's home page can sence foreigen
IP adresses.I have no problem with seeing Anjani sing.
As this is a unedited video i can also see that after the show a lot of the audience go forward to Leonard and Anjani with flowers and want autographs.

This is a wonderful show! Saw the song this time, but there was a pause before it, and still didn't get the Oslo/Tennesse line -- assume a reference to both Gore and Cohen having that state in common.

Leonard and Anjani both come off terrific! Their bond is quite clear and I like LC saying it "best not to label relationships" and Gore commenting on Leonard's wisdom. "Thanks for the Dance" is gorgeous!

I'm, along with Phil, interested in whether you were able to see Anjani sing through the original link, right through to the end... or if you joined the two, separate viewings into your single comment.

With Davido being in Europe, it makes more sense that he might get it fully... but you're in North America.

Yes, I couldn't get that far last night, but this morning I was able to view the song from both the NRK link and the You Tube post. At first I feared it had stopped again, but then I got it. Still do not see the flowers from the audience, and for some reason the Tennessee reference is incomplete.

BUT
All in all I am thrilled to have what you gave us Philwilli
