Hi Christopher ~

Great to see you here, literally and otherwise... Welcome to the Forum :D !

Do you surmise that your ex-pat status is part of your privilege to vote? Perhaps, they're also trying to seduce you back  .

What's all this rubbish about the royal family that has been infiltrating this site recently.
First it was somebody wetting their knickers because Prince Charles - the most useless man in England- claimed he had heard of LC.

Now it's a petition for a honorary knighthood for Leonard.

What utter nonsense!!

I would expect that LC would decline such a stupid offer.

Anyways why bother with a petition when Tony Liar is selling knighthoods on the open market these days.

I can understand why the likes of the idiot Bonehead from U2 has accepted his honorary knighthood.

Imagine having Bonehead in front of you on his knees with his head dutifully bowed when you have a sword in your hand – what an opportunity – one that I hope is not missed.

Go Lizzy go - do at least one useful thing in your life before you hand over to the LC lovin' prince.

Ta Ken

Hi Paula

Yes originally from the 'Pool but now married to an American so here permanently. Thanks for the welcome all.

Ken might be right of course that it would not be LC's style to accept a knighthood but I might be wrong. . .

Oi Christopher it is not Londoners who are weird it is those up north.

I am gonna opt for Liverpool and not Blackpool or Hartlepool. Must be a shock to the system crossing the pond for good?

Depends which side of Potter's Bar you are from.

I'm from Liverpool. You can read more about me on the website in my signature below. I have been here most of my life but it was definitely a wrench at first.

I appreciate your intentions, Simonmoorehead, and "Sir Leonard Cohen" does sound rather noble, but he is already at a far higher elevation than any artificial title could describe.

I've signed the petition in the hope that Leonard is offered a knighthood and then declines it on the basis that it's come from this shoddy excuse for a government that we have over here.

Poet Laureate?

Post by simonmoorehead »

i always thought he should be poet laureate and if Charles were king whose saying he wouldn't be?

I agree that he deserves more but I want him to get the global acclaim he deserves ?

Maybe he's a Knight Errant (Tim Buckley) or would enjoy Knight Moves (Suzanna Vega)
