At Christmas Time

Post by paula_hansen »

Some people say
it has gotten
too commerical
they
FORGET
that it was always this way-
How much did our Lord
cost to betray
better later
than traitor
O CLIMB your own moutains
you Judas
you
CRY your own tears
you weepy person
you
Are they the tears of Christ
or the tears
because you couldn't
GET
that present you wanted
this COMMERCIAL
holiday

yours sincerely

Paula

I jsut want to add that I won't be at all embarassed if you all say that mine is thge best poem posted here for many years. You see, all my talent is from the Lord, God-Given, and all the praise I receive for my writing is just prayer in another format.

I am just wondering what moutains are, when i am over that one i will work an a proper response that will enliven this already broiling babble. But yes heathen paula it is peutifect, you do the whole damn thing you do so damn like you, i can't wait to buy the plastic representation of your wisdom, maybe for next monumental birth of consumerism, or somethin'.

Love n more of that,
Jim.

"moutain" is of course the original Greek spelling. Laura, I am distressed to say this but I detect a note of cynicism amongst your praise for my writing,

warmest regards,

Paula

Yia sou

Post by JiminyC »

I've a poem I wrote with a greek word in it thank you Paula, so I think I know my geek pretty well. It's Yia Sou, but not sure of the spelling as the greek girl I was dating at the time just had no idea, second generation australian, ashamed of her parents etc etc etc, oh a nightmare but than all my life has been one of those, yes all of it. You know Yia sou means hello and it also means goodbye. A lot like moutain means many things i imagine, if you put your mind to it.

Anyway it is the best poem Paula, and I am happy you have humbled yourself and joined in the efforts to publish beautiful stuff in this part of the leonard cohen forum site.

You know my other thoughts.

I think Laurie, not Laura, was sincere in her wishes for your season to be a merry old one, and I am throwing in my two pence too.

Take care and as you always say,
To infinity, and BEYOND!

Dear Mr.Jimminyc

"Laura" as you well know is the original Greek for "Laurie". By using her proper name I was sending subliminal seasonal affection. It is a shame and some sadness that you are not well enough equipped to have appreciated the subtlety of my message.

I have no recollection of ever saying "to infinity and BEYOND". I fear you may have temporarily confused me with some cheap whore train-travelling unworthy floosie tart

Yours sincerely

Paula

paula, does this mean that god needs spellcheck?!??

Yeah, I suppose my "praise" (??) for your writing did have a "note of cynicism." I've never been good at carrying a tune. I meant to say you've never done better. Ouch. Now there's an insult.
Hmmm, subliminal affection? Is that legal?!?!?

gotta go.

Dear Laura/Laurie, there is only one God, therefore you begin your unfortunate post with a major balsphemy. Even at this High Religious Season it is difficult to imagine the Gods smiling on you for that.

I advise you to repent before it is

yours sincerely

a major balsphemy
Hell, long as it wasn't a major blasphemy...seems I dodged a big one.
