Linda Vancouver-Side...you'd be singing another tune if you knew I was still in the process of 'sending' that special book of poems. Bastard is more like it 8) (as opposed to worthy).

It WILL happen!!!

>And Diane, I think you mistook the word "expert" for 'hapless' Cool A common mistake, especially when I am involved...

OK.OK. I meant bastard, although 'hapless' wil have to do.

This is a family show, isn't it???

I'll tie Diane's hapless to my bologna, and what have we got?...

Hello there Linda. I do love the way you pop up every now and again. Is that a rose in your teeth? I like it. Whatever it is you are thanking me for, I couldn't have done it without you. Please release my hapless from your bologna, I need to go out now.

Diane

I love it when a work is digested then finaly finds the right place to sit, I was at fault to see a lack of faith when I was reading grief, and it is a beautiful expression of a world less one friend. Thank you for sharing.
Regards,
James.

I'm still trying to figure out what everybody knows, its confounding, thank you for your welcome. A friend mentioned this site with joy in his heart, how else would one light a fire, without a spark. I'm off to bed, its odd hours we keep in this part of the world, I believe Leonard was in Sydney recently, and he has even done a compilation with a good friend Nick Cave - actually Nick might not know of me but eh, then there is the love displayed for him in bona (can't spell but neither can most stars) vista social club - i've not watched the end of that, and my head is way to tired because i am spinning like a record now, night, take care.
James.

Jiminy, I don't think anybody knows what everybody knows, that's why we joined up here. Even if we're just dancing in the dark. Another person from down under? Cool. Sleep well.

Thanks Diane, yeah from melbourne, it's been a balmy couple of months for me of late; yesterday my head was full of washing machine poetry, today i feel like nobody, which i probably prefer. But I'm going to write a poem inspired by you and LC, then I will sit on my hands again else I just keep churning them out and they probably should be meditated upon a little more exponentially than I am want to do.
I mainly came here to share my writing and see if anybody thought me a poet worthy of a read, which it looks like people have read but no responses, but my propensity for a wild ride is probably a little too much for a measured piece of writing, food for thought, which i desperately need.
Cheers,
Jim.

Hi Jiminy ~

It's certainly not that you're not worth a read, from my perspective. It's just that your poetry seems very dense, in the way that certain breads are. Digesting them takes longer than the norm, and I for one simply haven't had the time to read them with their due respect.

Welcome to the Forum from me as well.

Hi James,

Melbourne is not too far from Toowoomba is it? Andrew Darbyshire hosts a LC meetup every year in Toowoomba, something to bear in mind if you ever want to meet LC people in the flesh and get some good entertainment included.

There aren't any regular poetry critics around here at the mo, so don't hold your breath for getting responses; it's nothing to do with worthiness or not of the poems. I don't read much poetry, but I just had a look at a couple of yours, and I'm afraid I'm not really sure what you are saying. You seem to jump from idea to idea. To me, a poem would be a work in progress for some time before it is a poem. Actually, you just said that yourself  . Keep going.

Take care,

Diane

It's a good days ride on horseback Diane, but I will keep it in mind thank you, and thank you for your thoughts. "If I didn't have a thousand poems a day to write i'd be a happy man" a great man said that once.
Cheers.
