Only just got this cd and it has absolutely transfixed me - how have i been without it for so long ? but anyway - can anyone tell me who sings backing vocals on Diamonds in the Mine ?

If you're talking about bootleg CD Diamonds in the Mine Field recorded live in Montreux Jazz Festival (1985), it's Anjani.

no, standard Songs of love and hate - doesnt sound like Anjani

Heh, she was, I guess, less than ten years old then:-)

Background vocals on that record, Songs of Love and Hate, were Susan Mussamono (Famous Blue Raincoat, Diamonds In The Mine), and Corlynn Hanney (Diamonds in the Mine).

I did think that - she would've been young - but strangely it does sound a bit like Anjani on Last Years Man and Dress Rehearsal Rag ????
