*Newsflash* There has been a small addition to the agenda: After a short confab with Ali, via PM, we thought, that in order to distinguish ours as a British meet-up (and for no other reason whatsoever, and especially not to video anyone), we would invite you all to make your entrance with a silly walk. Please go to

https://www.thejohncleese.com

click on 'promptly to the ranch' and then click on 'do the silly walk'. After a short demonstration, John Cleese invites you to make up your own silly walk, via buttons on the right. Please do this, practice it in your own time, and make your entrance on the day accordingly. Byron, we would be grateful if you could don your kimono in advance.

Sincerely,

Diane

Thank you Diane, for devising another form of entertainment for the meet-up

Do any of the guests have ideas for entertainment on the night :?:

The Open Mic Section can be for singing, reading Poems (or your entries in the recent short story comp) - anything you like really (just so long as it is Legal)

Lizzy, there have been several PM's between Diane and myself discussing hidden cameras and money making oportunity that lies there in......... After several red needles, inhabitions should have vanished  (and with the proceeds of this little venture, the next meet-up could be somewhere really exotic 8) )

Only kidding though, I don't know if anyone is bringing a camera

 I don't know, Ali....with your talk of future meetups already in place, I think you may have a plan :o . I'd say "hold that thought!" until some additionals details can be worked through. Between you and Diane, I think you can manage to bring the idea to fruition.

Now ~ you're going to have your 'entrance' folks doing theatre-in-the-round, trying to make sure the [potential ~ and ~ hidden] camera gets their best angles. Innocent bystanders will wonder why that person seems to be walking out now, when they just got there  and haven't even sat down, yet  ! Wish I could be there  ! As the saying goes, I'd be dying laughing

I'm quite happy to bring a camera; not least because if I'm taking pictures, I'm not in them...

I'm already well endowed with my own silly walk, thank you very much

I take umbrage (twice a day with honey and chillies) at the deplorable instigation by t'committee, to force the lame, the daft, the deaf and the doubly incontinent (Americas and Australasia) to prosticate themselves in such a heinous fashion (Westwood and Gautier) for all the world to see from the secretions of telephotocratic appliances (small, unobtrusive, easily fitted under normal clothing and machine washable) wereby, international catcalls (persian, burmeses, manxes and bald egyptians) of sardonical wit, shall haunt the misguided and forlorn participants (like culottes but with a wavey parting) for the rest of their sad, empty, uncultured and miserable days, not to mention the emptiness of their cold, lustless and hungry nights, in garrets fit only for blind, vegetarian fruitbats, devoid of even a banana skin (passed sell by date, special offer).

Cruel, fails to come close to such machinations of minds, bent on ruining chronically mundane lives. Shame on you.

Remembering the recent South Wales Meet-up when the barmaid was 'designated' as the photographer, all the participants were PM'd by the wonderful Rob with the official photo and we voted not to have it published on the site  I have a feeling everyone wants to take on that roll of photographer,so they wont have to be in the picture

Perhaps, in deference to Byron we ought to ban all recording devices

Just for the record ~

Byron will take whatever gait he's already the proud possessor of, and embellish it beyond recognition for the sake of the camera. I know. I've seen him in this kind of action   .

Still ~ wasn't the special-entrance requirement for those outside of Britain, for purpose of recognizing them? Are you planning to make a move, Byron, just so youse can do this special performance?

'tis an allbrit meeting of NHS production quotas: recycled, repaired, resurrected, and by close of festivities, replete.
