Tri-me,

"I would like to hear/read interviews he did on this book. It was very intense, as one would expect from him. I am wondering at 2:27AM the rain and intense humidity is keeping me up, everthing is damp. If there is a parallel between his relationship with his mother and his inability to have trust in relationships with women? I mean Lawrence Breavman, not Leonard Cohen."

I can't comment upon the movie, not having seen it. In the novel,
Breavman's relationship with his mother does parallel, somewhat, his relationships
with other female characters. I took the development of the mother's
character as also providing nice background for explaining the
emotional flaws in Breavman, the son. It was no surprise that a
disturbed mother would foster some disturbed qualities within
a child she brought up and that some of these were expressed through
Breavman's treatment of women.

Good to hear from you agian Steve, how have you been? It has been my experience with men, meaning it may not apply to all, that their relationship with their mothers has an impact on how they treat their women.

Oh! Flostj, I'm so sorry I planed to answer you for a long time now, but always have my mind occupied with something else logged out witout having wrote the answer.

This number thing is a game someone did bring here. You had to answer to questions, and at the end you were given a number from 1 to 9, each number is suppose to describe a type of personna. For example I am a :

I guess that sweet search engine can help in finding the thread.

I really suggest that the search engine be used for the Farourite Game discussion, many other interesting posts were posted.

Thanks; I've been okay. Relationships with mothers are certainly worth
examining, as they may be indicative of how other relationships are
handled. Even the mother is worth looking at, if there is a possibility
of her becoming a mother-in-law. Now you've got me singing "Mother-
In-Law."

I was wondering about that 'wb' myself, Tchoco. I even picked up a used French dictionary. I thought...a misguided version of 'something...I don't know what. Wheaties Biscuits? But only we in Canada learn French by breakfast cereal. I'm glad that's cleared up, at least.

Oh, and Tchoc? Thanks for a very nice drink recipe. Pretty soon I'll be needing something with dark rum and maple syrup and marshmallows or some such. I've still got some Cinnamon sticks left.

Ln "we"? What do you mean "we", not "I"? Since when are you talking about yourself like this? So many people I know in Canada are fluent in both official languages or at least are conversational in their second language that I am under the impression the "cereal box degree" owners are a minority. Well. Ah! This must be the use of the little gadget that used to be in so many cereal boxes : Well done, coco, you have read it all, ingredient list included, you deserve a cheap plastic toy. Life is full of little joy like this which deserve our full attention on the moment.

Hum... it looks like you have somebody to turn off. I'm sorry but this time I will have to refer you to Craft recipes web site.

oh, Tchoco. I've mentioned this to you before. OK. I'll even change it to "I". Yes, there are many that are fluent in both Languages. Unfortunately, they are the minority. Yes, I'm sorry, but most Canadians are fluent in English only.

I've tried to learn French, but without the help of very expensive French Immersion courses, that's not really an option. In B.C., there aren't a lot of French communities. However, if there's say a beer strike in a hot summer, we can order beer from Washington State. NAFTA and all that. But, we here in B.C. can't bring it across the border. Why? Because there's no French labeling!

So, "I" have grown up with the "Bilingual packaging" mentality. I wish it were otherwise, but it isn't. Even in high school, French was not a required course until the higher grades. It should be mandatory in Grade 1.

Thank you for the French recipe. I enjoyed it very much!!
