Secret Passion

I have a secret passion
To destroy the corporate faction
That exploits capitalism
In the form of despotism,
Where the sneaky bureaucrat
Tries to tell me this and that
Through their guerilla advertising,
How my life will be capsizing
If I choose not to invest;
But this is causing me unrest
Because I know their bottom line
Consists of schemes to trick the mind
Of every socialized consumer
Like a big cancerous tumor
So corruption can continue
To make money while they spin you
With beliefs that they’re a living,
Breathing person that is giving
You some kind of helpful product
Even though you may not want it—
And it is no requirement
To keep safe the environment
Right there at the root
Of pathological pursuit
Of truth or profit through the masses
By the greed that then surpasses
Their need of all the privatized
Resource service suicides;
But such a scary concept
May sound like it’s all just nonsense,
Though we both know that it’s true
That someday they will own you, too
Just like they own the air you breathe
And everything that you believe,
But there is nobody to blame
Because to them it’s all a game
Of limited accountability
And insincere civility—
Their truth be in solidity
That we’re born as utilities
And marked for exploitation
All across our sovereign nation.
To destroy this occupation,
Our method: infiltration!
We shall fight for our freedom
‘Til our numbers finally beat ‘em!
So let the public read it
That we’re both no longer secret!

Oooh, fight the power. Nothing quite like railing against the corporations that enable you to have a computer in the first place and fly to New York for fan gatherings. Those greedy capitalists really are keeping you down, the bastards.

thank you thank you thank you all, even you, partisan. but you're right... it's very difficult to say one thing but do another. but aren't i allowed to do that? i don't support them all with a whole lot of my money personally, but only when i have to. it's a catch-22. sometimes they can do good things, create products that may save lives or whatever... but then again, these same corporations that may save your life don't know how to say "we've got enough money." so they'll save your life while they're taking all your money away from you. so i'm allowed to tell off the corporations, just like i'm allowed to tell of the united states, even though i live here.

it's hard to believe in fairy tales though. like in "little red riding hood," when red hood gets eaten alive by the wolf, and the woodsman comes by and slices the fucking wolf right open and she gets out alive, unharmed. who killed all the woodsmen in the world?

we need a new creation of the weather underground. that's what we need.
