I just downloaded a song from WinMx entitled "I can't live without love" purporting to be sung by Leonard Cohen. It's obvious it's not Leonard. However, the tune is catchy and the singer sounds similar to Leonard. Does anyone know the name of this guy? I would be interested in more music by him. Thanks, for any help on this.

The laid back song
The song is performed by the danish pop-duo Laid Back, its from the album "why is everybody in such a hurry"
to Miranda,
I also spotted a song supposed to be Leonard singing Road to Hell. It wasn't as I know the singer is British. It is Chris Rea from the North East of England and he is one of my other favourites. If you like L C's older deeper voice, then you may like Chris Rea also. Try to hear Road to Hell and his new double album titled Dancing down the stoney road.
regards, Margaret

On the Chris Rea album he has a song entitled, Qualified, it could have been written by lc, but wasn't, because it is so like his work. Try and listen to it. Best regards, Byron
"Bipolar is a roller-coaster ride without a seat belt. One day you're flying with the fireworks; for the next month you're being scraped off the trolley" I said that.
Thanks, Peter for the info. I really liked "I can't live without love" so I decided to sample a couple of the other songs by Laid Back. But I have to say listening to "Sunshine Reggae" made me a little queasy...they sounded like a Danish Brady Bunch. And I didn't care for "The White Horse" either. Too techno for me. So, I quess I'll stick with LC.
Also, to Byron and Margaret. I have Chris Rea and think he's great. Thanks for the input.
Best wishes,
Miranda
