I haven't seen this anywhere in Australia.

Could someone give me a basic run down please, including a song list?

Now guys, i am going to need a REALLY good reason to be nice here. How can anyone get here not having seen Jarkko's site? I come back again to that point about those nice people at Amazon.com who put all the info online for anyone to read. How can people so inept at using the internet ever get here, register, and post?

Take no notice of Partisan, NR. He's just a miserable old curmudgeon who gets his kicks from kicking others. If you go to the front page of Jarkko's site at http://www.leonardcohenfiles.com you will find links to numerous articles about the Essential.

to N.R. If you go the the home page of this website and click on Latest news you will see an item about The Essential L C which is a new remastered collection of songs from various albums from about 1968 to 2001. I only found this website myself after seeing the notes on Ten New Songs. Not everyone who uses this site is as computer literate as others such as Partisan. If the album is not yet available in Australia, perhaps it will be soon. Good luck.

"Essential" will be released in Australia on January 24, 2003.
We don't know why Australia is always the last to release
the new albums!

It's not really a review as such, but makes some nice points about how Cohen's voice and humour have developed over time.
