I'd like to share a song I recorded: "Listen to the Hummingbird", based on Leonard's poem of the same name – and incorporating his recitation of that poem.

Thanks, I never heard that poem by Leonard before and your music seems to suit it well.
The thing that most attracts me to watching hummingbirds is their ability to so easily fly backwards. That is probably the best way to fly if you are being drawn toward the light.
I don’t remember ever hearing a hummingbird though. It might be because I’ve only gotten interested in hummingbirds later in life when my hearing if fading.

Their chirps are actually not that high. So maybe you would still be able to hear them.

Thanks, I now know what to listen for. It was just a few days ago that I learned the city where I live crowned Anna’s Hummingbird as the city’s official bird in 2017. I live in Vancouver
Maybe I’ll get the opportunity to hear Anna sing.
