A massive thanks from Jean and myself for all your lovely gifts you gave us on our walking weekend . It is greatly appreciated . Now I just want to sleep for a week due to the fantastic weekend . Your life is measured by the quality of the the friends you gain along the way and jean and I could not wish for any better friends we have in the Cohenite family . Now our thoughts must turn to Ghent next year but after that in 2021 the WW must continue . Volunteers please come forward I would be so upset if ours were the last one !

Hi Walkers
I had a phone call yesterday from the young reporter who came on Saturday with the photographer . He told me the article about our walk should be in this fridays Barnsley chronicle and then hopefully on line a few days later . As soon as it is I will post a link both here and in a group email
Many thanks
Phil

Friday. One by one, the guests arrive. Taxied to the hotel by Phil´s bestman, what a service.
Saturday. Walk me to Wentworth, our steps will always rhyme. Garden center there, well, also the Woodhouse mansion. Some opted for white wine on the sunny terrace. More wine on the way back at the chuch.
Sunday morning. We´ll be going down so deep. 140 m to be exact, in a coal mine. Impressive. Becoming a miner is no option for me.
Sunday afternoon. I looked for answers in every sculpture, was on the side that´s always lost. The quiz search kept the tired wanderers running.
Monday. In the city we smiled like before in the forest. Medieval York. The Blue Bell Pub.
Tuesday. Hey, that´s no way to say goodbye. It´s known by now that I´m not a greeter - if I didn´t say bye to you that only means we will have to meet again.
Here came the evening singalongs. Thanks, Henning and Joe.
I remember you all well in the Tankersley hotel. Not a tired, old hotel, neither paper thin, but a comfortable one with a spa.
Phil and Jean had devellopped a phantastic and varied programme. They involved friends and family to care for our wellbeing in the best manor.
Thank you so much, dear Phil and Jean and all helpers for bringing us together on this wonderful long weekend!
what a wonderful walking weekend organized by Phil and Jean. I will need Phil's help with the weather trick in 2021 when you all hopefully are fit and free to join the 7th walking tour in Black Forest Area, Germany. Here is a group photo of a different kind taken in York's great music shop (the eldest one in the UK) and it shows the Ukulele section. What a selection.
It will be a hard task following on from Philip and Jean's varied and interesting weekend in Yorkshire which set the bar high but Black Forest in 2021 sounds fabulous Henning!
