I will answer that question when you answer this one.

Why do you and some of the others insist on defending Critic2's lousy behavior (Please reread his critique on Poem #2!!!) to those who are not his "friends" or who have unjustifiably incurred his wrath. You can't all be wanting him to write you musicals.

P.S. I wouldn't put up with that kind of rotten behaviour from Leonard Cohen, himself.

My opinions about others on this forum are of no matter.
This isn't the "Critic 2 Show" this is the Poetry Forum.

I am not C2's friend. Lousy behavior is in the eye of the beholder. Don't make assumptions about those whose opinions differ from yours. You can hate on c2 and i can talk about the lack of opinions expressed regarding poems posted here....

Now how about addressing the reasons you did not like that poem...

 Of course, it's the "Critic 2 Show". How could you not know that?

Lousy behavior is lousy behavior. You don't have to have 20/20 eyesight in order to detect it.

It amazes me. Critic2 can be as mean as the devil and everyone (almost everyone) says, "Oh, isn't that Critic2 so clever, so inventive." Mention this meaness and people start talking about "hating on C2."

So, Leonard feel free to act like an Ass to other people. They really like you around here and you'll get away with it.

oy-

smiley faces and knives. an ugly recipe with cheap ingredients.

apparently you are unable to give an opinion on a poem (that's all i asked for), but can join an angry mob quite easily.

20-20 tells me this Was the Poetry Forum.

ciao.

Tsk. Tsk. Remember, "lousy behaviour is in the eye of the beholder"!

You used the correct tense--This WAS the poetry forum. No longer. It was hijacked by Critic2.

I don't see any angry mob. I only see a couple of people questioning Critic2's inexcusable rudeness to those whom he deems unfit for his rarified poetical heights. In other words...those who don't bow down and agree with his every decree.

it's a good start. you were able to critique the 'tense' in one of my sentences...now come on! how about telling us what you think about a poem....any poem!

You answer mine and I'll answer yours. (By the way, you're beginning to sound like a broken Critic2 record  )

Why do the members on this forum tolerate Critic2's rudeness (and even claim not to see it!) to the poets. But only certain poets of course.

i have answered you. i am not a spokesperson for anyone but myself. i have answered you. i am not a spokesperson for anyone but myself. i have answered you. i am not a spokesperson for anyone but myself.

quit trying to attach mob mentality to my personal opinions.

i have only asked you to say WHY you did not like Teratogen's poem.

Once again, WHERE is this mob you keep talking about?

This insistence on others getting into the critiquing business is one of Critic2's favorite little tricks. I'm not falling for it.

I thought so.

I always hate it when people go back and edit their posts for no good reason. It just might change the tone of the reply that was given. You could have told everyone how boring it was with a new post. Come to think of it...if it was so boring why point out the obvious.

Isobel- what is really your problem? something is bothering you deeply'
I just followed your suggestion to read Critic2 critic on Poem #2.
I am no expert in poetry at all. however-I can clearly understand and agree with what C2 has written there. It is kind, also with good explanation why is he pointing to certain things, just a bit of humor does not hurt anyone, does it?
It is obvious that C2 wanted to give honest opinion, without any prejudice or flattery.

Dear Isobel,
I fear that yours will be a lonely voice as mine has been.

Not a soul has commented on his response to my critique of his work which clearly is in violation of his own rules.

So it goes on the Critic2 forum (I've used the term myself). He has indeed hijacked it and there is no turning back it would seem.

But I do very much enjoy the company!
Sound advice to all aspiring poets:
"Just experiment!" Critic2
"Just do it!" This message has been classified as spam and will be deleted by the moderators
"Maybe it will work, maybe it won't." Critic2
Wow.

Bee, I've always enjoyed your exchanges with others. And never agreed with those who got angry with you on various subjects. But really, regarding Critic2...what planet are you on? That critique was not kind. Critic2 does not like Teratogen not just Teratogen's poetry. That comes through loud and clear. If you don't see that meaness shining through then maybe as Critic2 told Teratogen it's a "language" problem.
