It's a long story, but I was looking for the story about the writing of "Song of Bernadette" and the comments that Leonard made about the Vatican increasing Jennifer's grade to an A+ from her childhood paper. (If anyone could provide a link-I would be most grateful).
Anyway I came across this on a religious website-even the Catholics and Nuns keep track of Leonard & Jennifer!

Re: Jennifer Warnes
This 3-way conversation is elegant, concise, humorous, informative....need I say more? Thank you for posting the link as I had not heard it before. I Came So Far For Beauty is one of my all-time favorites. Interesting to hear Leonard say he quit singing it some time ago.

Re: Jennifer Warnes
As an aside, I met Jennifer Warnes at an autograph signing at the Ottawa Bluesfest a few years back. She was incredibly nice. I told her what an impact Famous Blue Raincoat had on me. Prior to that album, I had been pretty much a rocker with only a few forays into folk music. That album opened up a whole new world to me and introduced me to the music of Leonard Cohen. I had her sign the Jenny sings Lenny graphic that was included in the CD booklet (LC's proposed title for the album). She asked me how old I was when I got the album. I said I was 20. She inscribed it Jodey at "20". Framed and on my wall. But I will always remember how friendly and personal she was. So happy I got to meet her and to see her perform.

Wonderful that you got to have that interaction with her. The 3 of them in that conversation were so unbelievably on point.
