Preliminary Note- anyone unsure of their right to reply to this post please read the thread called "Official Forum Status" . This is a "no troll" discussion. For the further avoidance of doubt, the exclusion policy covers any new Baby Troll manufactured by the makers of smokey, glory-hog, paints, sirius, avalon etc.

thank you for your compliance.

Dear Heather is in recess. I only ever got into the title track and the Villanelle. I will return to it in the New Year.

I am playing lots of Jackie Leven, and, boy, there are lots. This superb Celtic folk singer is a prolific producer of music. His weakness is a tendency towards over-sentimentality or even mawkishness. But his strengths are endless. I was recommended him by Big Al on the LC newsgroup. I am listening mostly to his CD "Creatures of Light and Darkness". Track 2, Exit Wound is superb but has, I originally thought, the awful repeat line "if you could look inside my heart, you'd see a body without a soul" I thought Jackie must have been visiting the allpoetry site or buying Hallmark until I read the "sleeve notes" and discovered these were the words of Queen Elizabeth 1in a letter to the mother of the Duke of Anjou on hearing of his death. So, all is forgiven. TRY HIM.

I will be retrieving my Kevin Coyne music soon. Kevin has just died aged 60. A fairly manic, sincere, lovable, singer with tracks like Eastbourne Ladies where he describes his pleasure at seeing their underwear! If I'm mixing up tracks, no matter. He was also capable of wonderful love songs and remember "even blonde girls get the blues".

A few weeks ago I heard of Gillian Welch for the first time. I am impressed. She is a really classy country singer and joins the wonderful Beth Orton as my fave. female performers.

That's all for now, Folks. and it's your turn - tell me what's on your turntable

LOVE AND KISSES

btw sorry again about my trolling on the forum but I am just addicted and can't seem to stop it! You must understand that I don't have much of a life outside of the Interent and this is such great fun for me. I hope I am not really spoiling it for others!
oh well, at least this time he hasn't pleaded for a change of his official classification! as private messages go it was the most pleasant he has sent me so far. Could this be the first step towards his rehabilitation?

Oh guys (and / or dolls)

there are words!

Nothing restricts you to use "LIAR", "PLONK", etc.

A joke told once might cause a healthy laughter. The same joke told twice might still cause a smile. The very same joke told on and on and on - can you imagine what it might cause?

You are so full of energy! Start trying to use it on words!

You can start now

Cheers
Tom

Hi Critic2,
I did. And I couldn't believe. Then I couldn't react. Then I wrote those "raw lines" that hopefully one day will be the root of a real poem.
Indeed you were the messenger. Don't expect me to slay you, though...

Kevin was very loveable, very raw. I didn't find time to get my records out the other day, here's hoping for today. Marjory Razorblade!

Speaking of Trolls -- We have Michael as Critic/2, Harry Harpin, Smoking, Martine, etc. etc.

And it isn't a joke. Michael is a LIAR, DISSEMBLER and a FRAUD.

The courts must not be very busy this time for Michael has time to play his little fantasy of being a new psycho actor, instead of pretending the law of this land.

I love you, Avalon. You are so warm and cuddly. Hooray for Avalon. She is by far the nicest person here and not in any way a troll.
