What are ipods and mp3s? Am I showing my age?

My music comes from ancient technology, a 300-CD changer. While there are a lot of more recent bands/musicians I enjoy immensely, a large portion of my actual listening rests in the 1970s. Most often played are Pink Floyd, Beatles, Doors, Pearl Jam, Jethro Tull (although my wife hates them), and Dire Straits. And then, there is Leonard.

If there is a theme to this grouping , I guess it would be an ability to create numerous original tunes/melodies that stick in the mind combined with intriguing lyrics and lead vocals that have a strong presence.

I've over a 1500 songs on my MP3 player so too many artists to list but the most listened to are Leonard and Bruce Springsteen. Other artists who sometimes get a listen include Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, Shania Twain, U2, John Denver, Fleetwood Mac and Billy Joel to name a few. No matter what music I decide to listen too on a given day I will always revert back to Leonard after a while. I sometimes look at my vast collection of CD's and wonder how many I would have bought had I discovered Leonard earlier in life

Mostly Leonard, and then Tom Waits, Jeff Buckley, Georges Moustaki, from time to time Nick Cave, Adam Cohen whose new album I'm waiting for. But sometimes I delete all the others and just listen to Leonard. Will never ever get tired of him.
