I am amazed at this ad hominem attack and the fact that no one has answered it. I hope it means the forum members think it too low to merit their attention, and not that this sort of nastiness is considered acceptable hereabouts. I don't think I want to be here if the latter.
This ungentle person is apparently unaware that he/she has freedom of choice not to read posts uninteresting to him/her, just as members have the freedom of writing few or many posts. Instead s/he is taking the liberty of disrespecting and psychoanalyzing someone s/he does not know.
Janem, there is a lot of history here you may not be aware of. It goes back over 12 months on the Various Positions board on the Sony site as well as here. Those people who are aympatheitc to the views expressed by September Cohen have long since given up saying anything. They may be expressed in a rather more extreme way than usual, but there is a reason for them. We may also find that things may be different in the future. Stranger things have happened.
It's a free world surely. People can write what they like. You don't havwe to read it. You should because often Lizzy can be very sensible and perceptive.
Someone asked her if she's the one who killed the forum, and she ignored it and called the people in the chatroom "catty." I do pity her because obviously she has no life and is under the illusion that just because she thinks something it's significant enough to post for all time.
It is true that we don't have to read what she writes, but it is a real downer when every other thing on this board is from her. [Note - okay, not literally every other one - but at last glance, 22.93% of total / 5.85 posts per day. So that's about one in four.] Even now, I'm sure her self-esteem is getting a much-needed boost in the fact that we are writing about her. This MB is NOT about her. So get lost, Lizard.
I completely agree with Glyn. I really can't see how something so trivial can bother people so much. Anyway, I have often found gems amongst the verbiage.

I agree with Kush that there are some gems amongst the verbiage. It is our choice if we want to read and find them.
Whatever happened to discussing LC, his music, his poetry? All types of discussions are good, but something is a bit amiss when a thread has to have the subject of Lizzytysh. George also makes a good point on throwing stones. Which brings to mind Leonard's comment about the monks being like pebbles polishing each other, that paints a much better picture.
It is amazing how some of you miss the point. No one is howling for blood. They would just like to see a little less selfish smothering of the board, and a little more space left for others. If it seems that it is getting more extreme, it is because she has been asked nicely too many times now over the last 6 months. It is not a personal attack on one person. Anyone who blanket posted like this would probably find this happening to them.

And those who try to use a quotation of Cohen to make me feel wrong and bad, well I just want you to remember that Leonard has always been a man of discipline and I don't think that keeping the silence on things that is boring such as this is an exemple of discipline toward the convictions of a man. And there is no discipline in the way used by Lizzytysh : got a fast opinion on every thing and trying to post more and more to become a kind of Center Of Attention. That's it. I put my tuppenny worth purely because I thought Jamem had misunderstood where September was coming from. I did not for one minute think either September or Partisan were howling for blood and neither am I. I think George has totally over-reacted.
I know the option to ignore is always available and I do try to. Liz is more than capable of "putting the boot in". What she has succeeded in doing here is loading the gun and walking away. Perhaps if she deigned to join this thread we would all know why she has a complusion to add a comment to every thread posted. Perhaps she has OCD.
I really don't understand why she does not take this chance to explain to us why she feels she must inject her input to everything. No one is howling for blood there is not some hidden agenda or vendetta, it is frustration at her omipresence.

I was going to reply (and I suppose now I am) but I'm not saying what I intended. It's just all too silly and if I were you Lizzy just stay away from this thread and carry on as you were and if people don't like it then they just stop logging on.
