Looking forward to the Hydra meetup in June 2011

I also have the booklet with all the walks in.from a time before.Although I have been to Hydra several times I have never done some of the walks.Can you tell me if any of you would like to do some of them if it is not too hot ?It usually means getting up early but you can always have a siesta on your return.
I also plan to do some sketching/painting if anyone would like to join me.Please leave a message on the forum or look for me on Hydra.I will be there between 5th and 15th of June at Lydia villa.

Oh dear. No Hydra for me this June. After all the worry about accommodation, crowds and transport, I was really looking forward to seeing the island again and meeting with so many LC friends. However, after emergency surgery on Tuesday night my doctor has confirmed that there is no way that I will be able to travel for at least the next month - so that's that.

I will be with you all in spirit over the meet up weekend and I have promised myself that I will definitely make it back to Hydra just as soon as I can.

Oh, dear... how dreadful and unexpected a turn of events, Melanie! I'm sorry to hear this... someone else just told me about your change of plans. I'm not going but I can sure empathize with being held back from going for circumstances beyond your control! I'll be there in spirit, too... but it's just not quite the same. I hope your recovery goes well and you'll be on Hydra the next time around. I hope to be, but things are so unpredictable economically anymore.

Yes... I second Denise's wishes, too.. and am SO looking forward to the photos, accounts, and recordings of the late-night sings .

For those of you who travel on Monday 6th June, the metro will not be running between 5:30-16:00 due to a strike, so you can take X96 bus from the airport (that goes straight to Piraeus).
