a Hymn of the Earth

Start to Cry
inspired by John Lennon
written down by Mosóczi Zoltán
Have you ever tried to fly?
Have you ever seen the sky?
Have you ever felt this feeling,
If you’d never cried?
I’m not crazy,
But I’m surprised
By the World’s getting worse.
Must you kill the Universe?
Start to stand up for Everyone,
Or we lose the Whole we’ve done.
Have you ever seen my face?
Have you ever been in my place?
Have you ever felt the feeling
That you lose your faith?
You are crazy.
You always lie…
And so the World’s getting worse.
Must you kill the Universe?
Start to stand up for Everyone,
Or we lose the Whole we’ve done.
Start to stand up, Start to stand up,
Start to stand up for Everyone…
Have you ever seen them smile?
Have you ever heard them cry?
Have you ever felt the feeling
That your children must die?
You are crazy.
You always lie,
You never come in
By surprise,
And so the World’s getting worse.
Must you kill the Universe?
Start to end up this grinning grin
Off your face and start to cry!
Now the World’s getting worse.
Must you kill the Universe?
Now the World’s getting worse.
Must you kill the Universe?
Now the World’s getting worse.
We’re gonna stop you killin’ our Universe!
Start to stand up for Everyone,
Or we lose the Whole we’ve done.
Now the World’s getting worse.
Must you kill the Universe?
Now the World’s getting worse.
Must you kill the Universe?
Now the World’s getting worse.
We’re gonna stop you
killin’ our Universe!
Start to end up
this grinning grin
Off your face, and
Start to Cry!

Re: a Hymn of the Earth
... you know there are moments in there where you start to sound like Leonard.. kind of cool..

Re: a Hymn of the Earth
thank you
I prefer the text as a song lyrics, I really like the song
what´s slightly pathetic in the poem sounds impressive when heard in the song
resembles pink floyd´s momentary lapse of reason
or, as violet suggested, leonard´s recent chants....like here it is and faith
all the best

Of course I´m pathetic, I´ve spent my life getting the most impressive stuff out of the most impressive books. Malcolm Bradbury

Thanks Both of You!
I would have never believed that I could have an effect on people whose mother tongue is English.
