Looking forward to the Hydra meetup in June 2011

I'm delighted to see a potential June 2011 meet up date in Hydra and would definitely be interested in attending . I've dreamed of going there ever since I saw the video 'Songs from the life of Leonard Cohen', produced by the BBC in 1988. I attended his concerts in Dublin 2008, Belfast 2009 and this year in Lissadel in Sligo - he was amazing each time. Also, I haven't ever read any negative PR about him - what a guy - how can one reach 76 and achieve that?! Meanwhle, If anyone is aware of any Irish (north or south) fan-based events please let me know!

Our Hydra meetup will happen according to the plans. At the end of this year we will open a list of participants, but remember that this will be just a very informal gathering of people who want to spend time together, so no advance reservation is necessary. Because of the nature of this meetup, there is not much to announce (but we will update the travel hints next Spring). Everybody has to reserve the accommodation etc. him/herself).

Thank you Jarkko for confirming so quickly, this is great news. Gives us all, especially in the northern hemisphere, something to look forward to throughout the chilly winter months, and me time to starve myself back into my summer clothes.

I will start putting my pennies in my piggie-bank now.

it's a 6 minute video tour of the island done for Australian TV - it mentions Leonard and ends with "So Long Marianne" audio.
Makes me homesick every time I watch it - hope to be there in June

I watch this show all the time here in Australia and I can't believe that I missed this one Thanks for the video.
I am considering coming to a Hydra meetup and don't know if I can make this June 2011 one but there is a possibility.

Don't know about the 'small crowd'. This may turn into a major meetup, especially if there are no concerts at that time
