Beautiful Hearts

I'm the kind of guy who will look you in the eye
But I’ll never tell you what I feel
And I'll never tell you why
I’ll meet you at the railway station
When you come back home again
I’ll say what you want me to say
But you won't like it if it isn't real
I’ll look you in the eye
But I’ll never tell you what I feel
And I'll never tell you why

I only know that your beautiful heart
Gives me love that I feel is real.

I've been running around for such a long, long time
I appreciate your usual smile
There's something I don't understand
It's bothered me for so many years
I know you hhold back your fears
And hide them behind concealed tears
My curiosity has always been
Why would you stay with me
For more than just a while

I don't mind if the sun don't shine
And I don’t care if it always rains
A little rain never caused me any pain
You always share the pain that once was mine
And you share it all the time
It’s only the fear of love that tears me apart
From the heart that beats next to mine.

I only know what makes me sad
Is the memory of the hearts that I once had
All the beautiful hearts and dreams
That fell apart at all the seams

I don’t care what clothes I wear
Cos all the clothes that I’ve ever worn
Look all the same
When they’re ragged and torn
I’ve worn my heart upon my sleeve
Ever since the day I was born

I don't mind if you take up my time
I don’t mind if you’re always on my mind
I know I have to wait in line
To find the love
That I can never find

This is the story
Of what my world is like
I don't know who I really am
Or what ever makes you
Want me in your life

There’s something that bothers me
I see it all around

Even though we think its love
That we have found
And it’s the best love we’ve ever had

Why are beautiful hearts so sad?
