First off I'll admit that I probably watch to much TV - we all have our vices.
Anyway, the season premiere of Criminal Minds (The Longest Night)featured 4 songs: The Night Comes on; Dance Me To The End of Love; Sisters of Mercy: Who by fire. All were the versions from the original albums. At least no Hallelujah!
This has to be a record for a TV show: someone involved with the show must be a fan.
The episode summary: In the conclusion of last season's cliffhanger, the BAU pursues Billy Flynn, who has kidnapped Det. Spicer's daughter and continues his murder spree throughout the city of Los Angeles.

"Clarence said a striking thing about rowing that I've always valued ... that he liked rowing because you were approaching life backward. You could clearly see the past, and you glanced quickly at the future over your shoulder.' Jim Harrison.

Wow, that is awesome! Too bad it's such a crappy show.

But they always have a good soundtrack and I love the quotes they use at the end. Last week when they had the LC songs, they, quite appropriately I thought, quoted the Buddha. Coincidence? Maybe.LisaLCFan wrote:Wow, that is awesome! Too bad it's such a crappy show.
Ring the bells that still can ring. Forget your perfect offering. There is a crack in everything. That's how the light gets in.

Sorry, I shouldn't have said that about the show! (I did "wink"!) It's always a thrill to hear Leonard Cohen on a soundtrack, or to catch a reference to him, or anything, so, yay for Criminal Minds!
