quick tom...apologise to joe and anne.....they are both out and proud cheese-heads from the glorious dairy state of WISCONSIN....
.....so much so that a little bird tells that if the 2012 event does indeed take place in Madison in the dairy state of WISCONSIN that for the duration of the event joe has already looked into the possibility of commissioning a life size figure of Leonard to be erected in the centre of town made entirely from a selection of Wisconsin's finest cheeses........ ta ken

Ken - you're slipping! At the very least I would expect some visual suggestion of what cheesy Leonard might look like!
Hi Tom,
All is forgiven! You'll just have to help eat the cheese statue at the end of the event.
I had to set an alarm clock to wake up at 2 AM, our time, for the pre-sale. Like others, I had problems with completing the purchase-originally had 3rd row seats. Now we are in row 8.
Anne is still working on getting the time off from work-hope it all works out!
It was very difficult to get through this morning and not having installed java programme I could not choose by myself the seats and it took me several temptations before I understood the reason why I always got a failure message.
THen I tried the normal way and got automatically the seats numbers available and best result in the end was: 2 seats in row 3 and 3 seats in row 8, both on the rights parterre.
I am happy about those tickets considering that I was trying for about 1,5 hours ( first I got only row 10, then I got thrown out several times, then I had only row 8 but confirmed 7 tix instead of 5 ) then last but not least I was lucky and confirmed.
I find the prices very expensive though this year, but our madness makes us to ignore this and all the other expenses....but honestly this makes me feel sorry for the cohenites who would like to go and just cannot for economic reasons....this means we really have to consider ourselves more than lucky and privileged...
Now I look forward to my only concert in 2010 in Salzburg

Hurray!!! I have a seat in Row 6 seat Nr.14.
The first I had problem with my computer. And I installed java Programm new and now I'm so happy!!!
Salzburg I coming.
We got Row 6, seats 15,16!!
No problems at booking yesterday afternoon.
I am 63 and heavy fan of Leonard since last year (Berlin, prag 2009).
Before I did not knew much about L.C.
My wife played by mere chance "tower of song" in May 2009 and that was the beginning
of all that for me.
Now we are very happy to be in salzburg.
2009: Berlin, Prag 2010: Salzburg, Hannover 2012: Berlin, Paris
I was able to swap my right parterre tickets Row 8 seats 1-2 to Row 3 left parterre, but much more to the center, seats 37-38. All that because of a Java problem yesterday, because of which I was unable to choose center seats. But this is now much much better. So, there are still not bad seats out there for all those who are interested and haven't yet booked, or wish to swap. And, congratulations for those who have already booked themselves this treat in Zalzburg!

Hi Friends,
only few words about where to stay overnight in Salzburg!
There is a big Hotel(Arena City Hotel) only 100 Meter from Salzburgarena
and one night cost is 79.-Euro(single room) and ( 94.- for double bed ).
If you want Breakfast the cost is another 12.--Euro
The Arena + Centralstation is very close to the Arena+Hotel... with Bus Nr. 1
from the Centralstation to the Hotel only few minutes!
for those who are looking for a rather cheap hotel in salzburg:
(i´ve never been to the city, just my internet research)
we booked the "hotel schwarzes roessl" (via booking.com), double ensuite including breakfast is 88 €, single ensuite bf 54 €, it sounds simple but decent and it´s very! central (300m to the storic center), and it has rooms for smokers, attention, they also have (cheaper) rooms with shared bathrooms
(it´s not close to the Salzburgarena, but we preferred to stay in the city center)
anyway as Salzburg is a small city, I´d suggest to make a hotel reservation soon
the Salzburgarena is about 3 km north of the storic center of the city, or 2,5 km northwest of (train) main station
i am looking forward to the concert to meeting lots of forum members there!
