A Recurring Dream

Post by democracy »

A Recurring Dream

I hold you at night and watch your eyes sleep,
I breathe in your hair and feel your heartbeat.
I drift to the sea and glide to the shore,
Where you wait for me, we’ve lived here before.

She floats on the sand, eyes shining for me,
Her heart open wide, our son on her knee:
Wide sparkling blue eyes of love soak me in
To an infinite loving soul within.

Our son slips away, he cries us goodbye
With hot burning tears that sullen the sky.
We breathe him again; to life! Yes we dream.
His love a bright sun: a safe, golden stream.

Light lifts me home to our bed shining warm.
In infinite ways, our souls are reborn.

This is quite simply - Beautiful.

Thank you Democracy,

I loved the lines
In infinite ways, our souls are reborn.
On reading your poem I was reminded of this one by Khawars.
I've changed a few of the words so it reads more as a summation
of my thoughts, having just read yours.

A TEAR OF JOY

Rising slowly from the east
Lighting the world with all its panache
Mighty sun's caveats for inexorable yeast
I looked at the natures run with all its amaze

Water flowing through the stream
Euphonious sound with blinding gleam
Nothing to feign, just pure and pristine
The moon waning itself thin and lean

Sun flowers stretching their petals
Jewels of dewdrops strewn on the grassland
tranquil Ducklings dancing on their paddles
Incredulous beauty brimming of the wonderland

I catch the wonders in a glimpse of a poem
Shimmering brighter than the celestial sky
Each word dropping down from my eye like a tear of joy.

Carm- I don't know what to say to you except that I 'm so glad I decided to share this poem instead of keeping it inside.

I 'm so glad you
decided to share
your poem, here
within the Forum
instead of keeping it
tethered there, inside.

And so,
May the sun continue
to cast its warmth
upon your thoughts
lest the rain
continuously fall
on your every day.
May you experience
warm, pleasant dreams
on every cool evening,
and, may a full moon
appear on any dark night. :D

A reminder perhaps,
of how something
positive and inspirational
within our everyday
can crown or even trump
conventional life thoughts.
