So Vvresnik, is it fraud or just the sad state of affairs and the manner in which companies do their business in this day and age?

On the contrary, I for one am grateful for the removal of the dates and indication that an announcement was expected. We may not know what is happening, or why, but it has put us on notice that SOMETHING is happening and stopped those of us who had not yet booked ALL their travel etc arrangements for March from incurring further non-refundable costs. There is this, but what about the people who don't read this forum and are not aware of any potential problems, and buy tickets, and make travel/accomodation arrangements unneccesarily, when AEG already knows the concerts won't happen for whatever reason, assuming that is indeed the case?

I believe that it is just the sad state and (bad) manner of doing the business. Very "uncohenite", we could say.

If they continue to sell tickets after an official announcement of postponement or cancellation( which they wouldn't do )- i guess it's fraud .
Continuing to sell tickets before an official announcement even though some in the organistion may know some concerts are going to be cancelled is sad and bad . Mamy members ( of the public , not just the forum !), it seems , don't like ticketmaster , with their monopoly , added charges , and dubious practice at times . After this some will extend that dislike to aeg- especially those who went to their site over the last few days and bought tickets oblivious of the fact there might be a problem!

That could never be proven of course, they'd just say the alleged announcement was about something unrelated, and say they let people know as soon as they did themselves.

I agree with your anti-Ticketmaster sentiments, but as far as i'm aware, AEG is a promoter, not a ticket seller, and is not responsible for all of the exorbitant charges. All of the ticket links on the AEG site point towards other ticket sellers like GDP in France, for example. That does not change the fact that AEG should let the public and ticket sellers know as soon as they do though, if tour dates are going to be cancelled or postponed.

Who is responsible of the actual ticket prices? They are also rather high - plus all the additional seller's admin charges, credit card charges etc...

At a guess, the promoter probably has more of a say over price, the ticket seller just sells them and takes its cut on the way (as well as whacking on ridiculously high admin fees, credit card fees and delivery charges).

Poor Jarkko must be feeling the big squeeze: AEG on one side, fans on the other. But it's good that at least we know this much. There must be people who are excited and making arrangements who may not be aware of this forum or it's most recent (if still cryptic) information. Everybody's in line and getting grumpy from the wait. We all want in.

The Forum may have removed the dates BUT AEG and Ticketmaster's affiliates in Europe are still showing tickets for sale! If they know something we don't then I repeat my earlier thought that this could be considered to be fraudulent on the part of AEG and their agents.
Not really. Clearly, no decision has yet been made. Jarkko is merely cautioning us, unofficially, which is very kind of him. It won't become fraud until after a decision is made and made public.

I don't understand how you can claim no decision has been made when Jarrko has clearly said a big announcement about the tour is coming - why would AEG even have thought to send this information if a decision had not been made?

What is clear is that a decision has been made, and it seems like the details are still being ironed out, hence the delay.

Am I alone in becoming a bit nervous over the pending news of the Tour or have others out there also already booked flights and Hotels

my guess is that the announcment will be concerning
extra tour dates in Ireland and elsewhere...
that is why Jarrko is cautioning against making further bookings....
