Jurica Staresincic and I are the webmasters of Cohen's Croatian site, and Jurica also designed http://www.bookoflonging.com and worked on other sites, and used to be regular here before he got "married with children recently":) Many Forum members do know him very well from the Berlin 2006 Event.

We're both in comics; Jurica is banned at stripovi.com due to his open criticism, and I visit rarely nowadays. But you can read Jurica's posts at darkomacan.com, and his onw website http://kajgod.mojstrip.com/ I am also in science fiction field, so I work regularly with Darko Macan (whom you may know as comic writer and publisher).

I actually am film critic/scholar, and Jurica's also film critic, and author of short animation movies. I recommend "Hrvatski filmski ljetopis" quarterly to see our writing:)

It's a small world...

But we're off-topic, yeah!

So, Jurica's latest design, from September 2009:

That's another fine coincidence, Tom - huge 'filmofil' here - Polanski, Tarkovski, Herzog, Dreyer, Leone, Peckinpah, Carpenter, Zafranovic... if you're interested in Tarkovsky for instance, I have all his films including short student films, and even a rare 1 hour interview that our (YU) journalist did with him in 1981, that I didn't see anywhere online, not even on Youtube.

Back to topic - how's the acoustics at ZG Arena? Anyone saw any act there so far?

It's supposed to be brand new Arena, for concerts and sport, like all new "arenas" in all other cities in Europe... I never was there. But I guess that the Cohen production team will make it excellent, as usual.:)

Jurica's quick banner, as our website is dead, old-fashioned and this came to surpsingly for our delayed new web-design:

sorry if i'm intruding the conversation about comics ;) but...
does anyone know how many tickets for 'lože' and 'parter vip' will be available for purchase?
and if there is a possibility of somehow booking them before monday? i suppose that the internet ticket sales are starting at 12:01am, so what do you think is smarter to do - to purchase them from ticketpro or to wait in line in front of the store from 6:00am :O

i'm really freaking out that i will not be so lucky to get the two tickets i want...

thanks very much for any answer :)

Ticketpro has suddenly changed their direct URL links for Cohen's show (the old links are now leading to ERROR 451):

English: http://www.ticketpro.hr/jnp/en/glazba/2 ... cohen.html
Croatian: http://www.ticketpro.hr/jnp/glazba/2892 ... cohen.html

lemonche, I am trying to understand what's going on. Vip parterre seats were sold within 3 hours on ticketpro.hr, but after that eventim.si shows many of them available.

Right now, at eventim.si, rows 12-18 in front of the stage are still almost completely available. Excellent seats.

It seems that ticketpro just cannot cope with the transactions whereas eventim works much better ... I needed two extra tickets for Berlin friends and having tried with ticketpro only to see all credit cards rejected, it was very easy yesterday to get 8th row in vip parter through eventim. I wrote to ticketpro about my transactions and they said one was still active if I wanted it (which I didn't) so I guess that is why their system is showing no spaces available ... It is a real pity as I know other friends here who bought tickets from shops who also use the same ticketpro site in any case, so that they are far away when actually through eventim you can still get good tickets

I just don't know. I just phoned them, they say that Parterre VIP and MIDDLE (sredina) is indeed sold out from yesterday so they will check Eventim.si website. I'd gladly buy extra tickets as we have need of more than 70 reserved seats in VIP parterre.

Zagrebačka Arena 15. ožujka ugostit će najutjecajnijeg glazbenika i kantautora svih vremena - Leonarda Cohena.

U sedamdesetima njegov opus obuhvaća pop, kabare, rock, blues i country.

Iz širokog spektra njegovih hitova svakako valja izdvojiti klasike među kojima su "Suzanne", "Sister of Mercy", "So Long Marianne" i "Hey, That's No Way to say Goodbye". Engleska turneja prošle godine označila je njegov povratak na pozornicu s koje je izbivao dugih 15 godina.
They say that Cohen returned to the stage in 2008 with "an English tour", whatever that was...
