I still haven't received my email confirmation but I called gdp and they said that they had received an order from me (the person on the phone couldn't see it though, only see its value), and would send me an email later today to confirm.

Hey goldstei - where are you seated at Caen? I got PORTE 8 BLOC Z - Rang 3 - Place 29, which (assuming I have interpreted the seating chart correctly) is right up towards the front. Woo!

Anyone know how easy it is to get from Caen to Lille via the trains? I'm thinking of trying for a ticket there as well.

There's no direct train from Caen to Lille, you'll have to go through Paris (and change from station St Lazare to the Gare du Nord too, there are direct buses between the 2 stations) you can expect a 4h/4.5h trip from Caen to Lille...

Ouch, that's about what I expected, though. I haven't looked at the railways in France very much (just to make sure that it was convenient to get from Paris to Caen), but the relative locations of Caen & Lille made it unlikely for a direct train route.

They just said one hour...

4.5 hours of clicking refresh to see if they pop up, she had better be right this time!

She said that there is a problem and that they would be ready in one hour a few minutes ago.

I'm pretty sure I must have been one of the first people on it and got the row in front...

Now says they have no premium left.
