Having worked in the UK steel industry for 35 years I was very interested to learn in the video about the tour that takes in the old communist steelworks area . I will most likely be going on that .Does anyone know if steel is still produced there ?

Steel is still being produced there (3 million tons, 17,5 thousand workers), although right now the steelworks is owned by ArcelorMittal.liptrot wrote:Having worked in the UK steel industry for 35 years I was very interested to learn in the video about the tour that takes in the old communist steelworks area . What are peoples' thoughts on hotel accommodations? I see that Phil has left a question about which hotel is closest -- and I understand that they are all within walking distance. But it's hard to get a sense on how they differ from one another.
