Ticketmaster/Mastercard Suggestions

Finally got some tickets to Tampa show today, but not without some major aggravation. Thanks for the presale code and all that was a cinch. But, when I used the link to ticketmaster from this forum website it got hung up at the checkout point. I saw this on other posts that when you are using mastercard the ticketmaster will link you out to the mastercard site for further security verification info. When I went thru here, it just got stuck and never went to the mastercard connection. So, after 2 attempts, I went to the ticketmaster site directly and had to start over, but when it got to the mastercard security check it went through very quickly. I appreciate the effort to have the links on here, but be aware it may not work right if your credit card needs further verification-- I had pre-registered with the ticketbastard ahead of time hoping to avoid any glitches, but live and learn. Can't wait for the concert-- have been waiting 40 years for this opportunity.

I had a similar experience today when I used my United Visa..it wanted me to fill out the Verify form...
It happened twice...
so I used my Alaska Visa and no problem.
Thing is today I tried to use my United Visa at the gas station and at Trader Joe's and it won't work...
so now I have to call them tomorrow.
I am curious how Ticketmaster is involved..because I didn't want to verify it
they think its stolen I guess...
At least I was able to get tickets..

I think that is exactly the case. When they see questionable transactions, they will stop it. Unfortunately, when you are buying LC tickets and they stop the transaction for potential fraud, it may cause you to lose the perfect tickets. Everybody, call them before you make a ticket purchase to let them know you are doing so. It may prevent you from losing your 'dream' tickets!

After a harrowing 14 hours on the TM website and of 'search again' - tickets to San Jose in Floor 1!
Sorry if I am repeating myself here, but my saga started at 1PM EST. Aaah the frenzy when tickets went on sale. Decisions. Are these good? Will I get better? Need Floor 1 section. Toss these, discard those, no I don't want row 1, too far on the outside. Finally! FLR1, row 4! Yeah! Purchase, purchase, purchase. My fingers were programmed by this time to hit the 'search again' button. Yes, folks, the tickets I wanted went into the depths of TM. The agony! There's hope. There's always hope. They'll come back. Search again for the next 13 1/2 hours. Every which way. By best available. By price. By section. Back and forth. Back and forth. Sick of seeing FLR 3, row 3, row 7, row 3, row 7, row 7 7 7 7 7 7 7......FLR 3 3 3 3 3 3 ........ Nothing wrong with this side, but as a member of the gentler persuasion, it has to be FLR 1. Pull up Emerald VIP - gasp. Not a bad deal actually - 2 tiks, starting at row 10 in the center for a total of $315 each, no service charge. And a package of 1 each of LC 'stuff'. By my rough estimate worth anywhere from 50-80. In my calculations, close to the @250 tiks after the charges. Salivating at the thought of the fleece blanket and the limited edition journal. VIP goes into the mix. Another search to enter.

Talking to Bonnie/bkmccalla. She graciously offers me one of her extra tickets. One is in FLR1. But only 1 tik. How to get around this. Do I leave George, my husband, out of the picture. Nah - he's a keeper. Search again and again and again. Finally, something. VIP, row 11, seats 1-2, on the aisle (George loves the aisle. He can come and go if he pleases without disturbing others). George, tired of me being 'lost in that hopeless little screen' says "Go for it!". Purchase complete after 14 hours. Whew. Mentally exhausted. Fueled by endless cups of coffee that finally got brewed correctly.

It doesn't end there folks. Talking to Bonnie. Idly checking TM. There they are! After 15 hours. The magic seats! 2 seats, FLR1, row 4, close to the inside aisle. Alert Bonnie. She buys them!
"So happy for you Bonnie!". "No silly," she says, "I bought them for you!". Bless your heart my angel! Now I have 4 tickets. What to do?

Browser not working. Can't see what I'm typing. Saga continues. Page2.......

4 tickets. TM never gives refunds. "You can do it," says Bonnie. Googled horror stories of people trying to get refunds. Tumultuous sleep. Call TM customer service. 1:39PM. On hold. 1:48PM Charles says they need permission from the promoter to give a refund, but will put me through to a customer service representative. 1:55, I tell Lucy about my ordeal. Lucy says that as a measure of good faith (there's that same phrase I got when receiving my full refund for the extra Red Rocks tiks I had) and since it has been less than 24 hours, they will cancel my order and issue a full refund to my cc company, which will post in 3-5 days. Yes folks, the 'evil' Ticketmaster has come through for me yet again! (No fleece blanket ) The whole thing took less than 15 minutes, including 'hold' time. So now I will say it - It is a joy for me to deal with Ticketmaster.

And my special angel, Bonnie, came through for me. I get to sit close to so many of you! I cannot thank her enough for her thoughtfulness and caring! I also thank all of you for the info, encouragement and support. I don't belong to any other 'social' sites. I don't need to because the people here are the best in the world! Thank you everyone!
