Leonard Cohen and The Christmas Holidays.
Christmas songs
Add "Ballad of a Carpenter," Ewan McColl sung by Phil Ochs, Tom Lehrer's Christmas Song, "Chipmunks roasting on a open fire" from Twisted Chirstmas, ( available as a download) The Roches, three sisters, sing "We Three Kings." And don't forget the very Dickensian "Christmas in the Workhouse" sung to the tune of "God rest ye Merry Gentlemen."
Twas Christmas in the workhouse happiest time of all the year
The paupers was contented cuz' their guts was full of beer.
The master of the workhouse he strode through the dismal halls
And he cried "a Merry Christmas" but the paupers answered "Balls."
Then angry was the master and he swore by all the gods,
They'd have no Christmas pudding, the lousy bunch of sods.
Then spake an aged pauper, his face as hard as brass:
"You can take your Christmas pudding sir,
And shove it up your ass."
Author unknown ( someone thought Kipling).

Mike, do you think you could slip a copy of your compilation in with my poster? It would be much appreciated.

If you go to Rickie Lee Jones's website she has posted 3 Christmas songs for the holidays. I'm thinking of replacing Judy Garlands version with Rickies. Judy's has been around for a long time and is a classic. I love Rickie and I think it would be a good idea to mix it up. She also has God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen also.
