Hey, that was funny Paula
So, are you a candidate for the 'selective amnesia/comprehension' category? And you were actually there, i.e., Marianne Faithfull songs etc....
(Then there's the LC Poetry & Novels forum w/ the analyses on A Life Of Errands.)
But, I've noticed you are only interested in throwing gratuitous and unprovoked insults at me...well, 'whatever floats your boat'
Yeah, Ronnie, this is getting funnier and funnier!
(It'll be interesting when Tanya does drop in again
)
...Amazing, and they didn't even notice her pc keyboard has different styled apostrophies from almost everyone else's?!

Pot calling kettle Makera. For someone who has a strong faith hypocrisy and priggishness play a large part in your life. What happened to humility and piousness or do you sometimes forget the ticket you came in on.
Do not presume to include others in your comments to fellow forum members you might be surprised to know not everyone agrees with your observations.

You lot have proved that it's true. We write our prose and send our words out into the world as we do our children. Once I have posted a poem it takes on a life of its own in each of the minds that read it.
I have encountered a certain modicum of resistance to some of my previous postings with regard to ****** and ******* and ***** and also *******. Those of you who have followed my words will be well aware of my promise to George Gordon. Therefore I have not mentioned ********* or ******** or ******** for that would have meant going back on a publicly expressed promise.
However, I submit a few lines of poetry which left my computer screen as I hit the submit icon, and I find that even without my mentioning ****** or ******* and *******, you have gone at one anothers' throats anyway. George Wright and myself must be in some sort of competition right now, over who is laughing the most. And never let it be said that I mentioned ****** or ******* or, heaven forbid ***** * ***h.
Oh, and bye the way 'Ronnie' you must have noticed (having so much time on your hands) that a certain lady has not even deigned to respond to you. Therefore, have your words been heeded, or are you shouting in the dark? To respond or not to respond, that is the question. Whether tis nobler in the mind to take arms against a sentence of troubles, or to just bloody well ignore them?
Now, there's the rub. The game is afoot, and let loose the drunken cats of war.........

Byron you are on stardust ie*********. Lucky man!!!! I never laugh at hatred in any shape or form, i find it quite sad that people cannot get on together, reminds me of where i live!!!!
However we should try and get BY without being too personal, we all have faults which anyone should highlight. The important question is "HOW DO THESE PEOPLE FEEL WITH THEMSELVES?"
Best Wishes to the Board..............Georges

I am a right bad ass, dankish prince and I love my Violet to bits.
Hmm, what can I say?..
Ladies and Gentlemen,
If somebody laid claim to me s/he could tell it to me personally. I believe it would be better to do that then to talk about me like about third person.
Makera certainly isn’t responsible for my delirium. We definitely aren’t alternative identities. We are absolutely different ones.
As time goes on I understand more clearly it wasn’t a good idea to join this Board. So now I’d simply like to say goodbye.
Yours,
TH

I've finally found myself! But that turned out to be a completely different person.

Pardon my guileless naivete, Heretic, it obviously takes a naturally devious and deceptive mind to follow your innuendoes. Depends upon your perception of what would really "make sense", I guess.
I personally can't imagine why anyone would even bother to think of trying such a pointless charade, let alone the time, effort and concentration that would surely be required to actually do it!
I don't see how it could be possible to take another's 'username' either; but as this is my first and only computer, of 3 months, what would I know? I'm certainly not interested in such nonsense, anyway.
I can only conclude, therefore, that the accuser/s (and his/her/their eager enablers/sycophants) are 'experts' in such practices.

Helven/Tanya~
Please don't let the purile idiocy of a few drive you away! Why give them that satisfaction?
They would conveniently claim they were 'right' - that you were another 'me'
don't you see? That's an awful insult to you I know, but you can't surrender to lies, Tanya, no matter what
Your friend always,
Makera/Gennelle

Helven, Makera?
I thought the Buddha thread was very odd too. Your posts on that thread (Helven, Makera) seemed to be a continuation of one post, not separate at all.
I work every summer with students from Russia. They are all 3rd year college students and some are Graduate students. Their English is good enough to enable them to work here in the United States.
I have made some good friends through this program and when they return we continue to correspond through emails. Despite their having spent 4 months living and working in the U.S. their written English (grammatical structure) is awkward to say the least. I have been amazed at your grasp of the English language. If you, Helven, are really a native Russian, living in St. Petersburg, You are a genius! I say a genius, because your use of idiom is unbelievable! I repeat, unbelievable.
And Makera, about that Apostrophe, it is possible for someone to have two keyboards. And you would be the only person to "notice" that "Helven's" apostrophe is "different". LOL
Are Makera and Helven one and the same. Perhaps. But I promise you "Helven" is not Russian. She probably lives in North Carolina.

What does it matter? Surely it is the viewpoint or message that is important.
We don't know the face on the other side, it could be trained monkeys.
People should be taken on face value, unless there is proof otherwise.
If a person is good to you, they are a friend. If an enemy shows humility and respect, they must be treated accordinly. To do otherwise is showing that you are not worthy of respect and not destined to be any judge.
Give a little and take a little and we can all learn the lessons.

Good points, George!
Julliette~
And I thought you were being genuinely nice,
. As an artistic type, I have always had an eye for minute details. That's why I not only noticed the difference in Helven's apostrophies, but Sohbet's also. (Oh, is s/he 'me' too?
). As I said, computers are totally new to me - another reason I notice things that the 'initiated' consider insignificant.
I agree that Helven is exceptionally accomplished in her command of English (some people can have a gift for languages
). But, as she is a mature woman about whose experience and abilities you have no knowledge, your 'judgements' can only appear grossly and arrogantly presumptuous.
