Re: URGENT: BRATISLAVA PRE-SALE NOW!!!!
Crazy - I pick the tickets and then when it prompts me to register (whick I have done) and log on it takes me to the Home page with a list of events that does not include which the Cohen concert - and you cannot go back without starting afresh from the link!!
Anyway found a way to successfully navigate through this labyrinth?

Re: URGENT: BRATISLAVA PRE-SALE NOW!!!!
I thought a late summer drive through Austria, some hiking in the Stubai Alps and taking a waltz in vienna would be a nice prelude to the Bratislava concert but after two hours the Slovakian website has defeated me!
Ah well I will try again in 12 hours maybe if anyone else cracks it and is successfull please post and let me know how you do it.
Meanwhile must do some work and then the football awaits! At least I have sold the four extra tickets I had for next weekends Vancouver concert!

Re: URGENT: BRATISLAVA PRE-SALE NOW!!!!
I have only just discovered the forum, the pre-sales etc. so this is probably a stupid question, but I would like to know what you mean by "nothing changes". Were the front rows unavailable in other pre-sales as well? Will these rows go on general public sale, or are they reserved by the organizer for their own purposes? The deal seems to be somewhat rotten...

Re: URGENT: BRATISLAVA PRE-SALE NOW!!!!
Casterbridgecohen. I did manage to make a booking. If you keep getting sent back to a general home page then I suspect that you may have a problem with your registration process.
After you follow the link from the Forum, there is a log-in box over on the top right. Click on the British Flag below it for english. enter a username and a password and click on register. A new box appears that asks for user name and password followed by your name and address etc. It is not set up fully for international accounts with all the country options. I managed to get my full address including country within the first two address lines. for Zip code i entered 0000. I could not change the "SK " at the end but I would expect that the post office will be able to read the full address above it and ignore the SK.
When i finished the registration my username appeared in the little log-in box so i knew that i was registered. I was able to select the seats and the book tickets tab above. There are there options for delivery at the bottom of the page. pick up and pay cash (within a few days). Credit card payment and Slovakian post and CC payment and international post. Click on the bottom one and the next page will be your cc details. you will get an email confirmation and if you log back in later you can view your orders.
Only seats from Row nine are available. Booking would appear to be very slow as most of what i saw yesterday was still available....a big change of having to book within a nanosecond of them going on sale !
i hope this works for you.

Albert
Thanks for the time you spent on the comprehensive response - I had done pretty much all that you had said and I had infact managed to overide the SK in the country box and subsituted UK and that was obviously what was screwing it up. When I did as you said and put the entire address including country in the two boxes for the address and left SK up and 0000 in the postcode it worked a treat. I printed up your notes to ensure that I did not miss anything!
And you were right - no one seems aware of the Bratislava Concert as only three tickets sold in last 12 hours and I could still get centre of Row 8. Surprising as with Vienna and the Danube on hand its not a bad short break destination with or without Lennie!
I now see that Nimes pre sale is about to go live - and the Roman amphitheatre (if that is where it is) should be a fantastic venue so August is beginning to take shape nicely - some hiking in the Frech Alps - drop down to the Camargue and nimes and then 8 days to drive across north Italy and hike in the Dolomites before coming to Bratislava.
I came to Dublin for the 'Came so Far for Beauty' concert three years ago and for one of last years concerts - I also managed to get to Manchester, Glastonbury, Berlin, Cardiff and Bournemouth and am going to next Sunday's concert at Vancouver BC where we have a home. I spend the summer based in the Swiss Alps so Cologne, Nimes and Bratislava are going to work out well. I am thinking of going tothe Hydra meetup Have you been - are you going?
I am going to have to buy you a drink in Bratislava for your help so do get in touch at the time - my email is
mibct49@hotmail.com and my phone +44 7973 958 864
Thanks again
Michael

Re: URGENT: BRATISLAVA PRE-SALE NOW!!!!
I have a big suitcase but only a two seater roadster!
There are benefits from being a Tour Operator!
I have always believed in working hard and playing hard but now that I have turned 60 I am determined to spend at least 50 days a year in the high mountains so after the Vancouver concert I am off to the Annapunna Himalaya in Nepal for a two week trek.
Summer lets me combine three of my passions - my Idol and the Alps.
Which concerts will you get to?

Re: URGENT: BRATISLAVA PRE-SALE NOW!!!!
A word of caution to all fans buying at the fans pre-sale:
fans in US who bought 'fans only tickets' found out later that better seats were released gradually to the general public, (the later the sale the better the seats), with fans locked into mediocre tickets which could not be exchanged/refunded/upgraded.
As a result tickets for first row of upcoming in 2 weeks Seattle concert are available now on scalpers sites for less then a face value, and many fans are left with multiple tickets they bought trying to upgrade to better seats:
viewtopic.php?f=32&t=14459
During the US leg of the tour the promoter and ticket agent were gouging tickets, which was documented in multiple threads of this leg:

Re: URGENT: BRATISLAVA PRE-SALE NOW!!!!
I wouldn't count on that in Europe! To almost all shows here we have had also first row at the pre-sales. Just read the reports about various European pre-sales. In Slovakia, the local promoter in Bratislava is keeping the first rows for their own use (possibly for VIP tickets and/or special sale to newspaper subscribers, or another privileged group - no exact info has been available yet from Slovakia).

Re: URGENT: BRATISLAVA PRE-SALE NOW!!!!
I wish it was all true Jarkko
I'm afraid the gouging is exercised in Europe as well if you look into details (see links below), it's not that well visible only b/c the demand in Europe is much higher then here in US.
I didn't follow all European pre-sales, just opened randomly this Bratislava threat, to recognize the pattern.
Then I randomly opened Irish threat to find (just scanning first xx posts) the postings about better tickets bought later:
viewtopic.php?f=35&t=14241&st=0&sk=t&sd ... 70#p164540
viewtopic.php?f=35&t=14241&st=0&sk=t&sd ... 85#p165463
I believe ticket gouging strategy was applied in the 2008 European leg as well, I was looking for 1 European location for myself, and first tried Manchester pre-sale (last rows offered at the start of pre-sale), then Dublin: bought far side ticket from the local Dublin fan, only to find that center tickets closer to the stage were released 2 weeks before the concert.
While it may look like a brilliant strategy to marketing people, it looks pretty pathetic to me
