This is reminiscent of the sky I saw the other night, Greta, except it was the western one. This reminds me of the Northern Lights/Aurora Borealis, as well. I like it.

I really like this one Greta. The 'deepest' depths of the sky do make all 'mysteries' seem insignificant, don't they. 8)

yes...im sure in a way this is the sky you saw, Lizzy. Maybe i got the inspiration from your post. I read it once again. I can see very clearly how beautiful it must have been... But..one can never capture something like this on a photograph...

Makera, all earthly things are important. At least you forget them for a while if you look at the stars and allow ypurself to dream :)

You're right, Greta ~ the dimensions and magnificence and grandeur in the expanses of the sky itself can never truly be captured in the photographs of it.

This sounds like something you saw, as winter comes on, Makera? A nice visual.

Thank you, Lizzy! Actually, I saw that yesterday afternoon. Looking out the window at the trees and there, like a bright scarlet rose high up on a frond in all the evergreen - that gorgeous little bird. I just thought it looked so like Haiku material! :D

Hi Makera ~

With your first line, I thought, "That looks like the Eclipse!" It ended up a very fitting description of it :D .

Thanks Liz. They are an amazing sight aren't they?
Difficult, sometimes, to follow the Haiku avoidance of overt metaphors & similies...then you realize a lunar eclipse is a metaphor. :D
