When is the new album coming out????

I've heard for a year now that he was doing a new album, but I can't find anything on it and when it will actually be released. Does anyone know anything about this? Sorry to beat a dead horse if this gets asked all the time.

To all who are new to this Forum: we have a quite effective search function here. For example, to find an answer to your question, just write "new album" in the box at the top of the page (on the right), and hit "search" !

Yes, I am aware of the search function which is why I made a new thread asking. I read he was coming out with a new album of new songs, not a live album of old songs. This was well over a year ago when I first read this and it seems all I have found is pushed back dates and no information. There doesn't seem to be much information at this website about a release date of a new album either. Thanks.

As explained several times, the whole project is at a standstill as long as the never-ending tour continues, so there cannot be much information to share.

At one time they gave a date for the new album...then they said the remasters will get pushed back due to flooding the marketplace with Cohen items...then neither came out for the past 2 years...obviously the record company are liars...probably both was ready but Cohen was denied or he's holding off due to the publishing scandal...that might take years to solve...sort of like Van Morrison half his albums are out of print because he got mad at the label for not advertising his cds in newspapers and magazines...so he pulled his albums and as a consequence half of them are out of print...at least Cohen is better than that.

Reading that LC has been working on new material for some time now and seeing 'new' poems that are supposed to be put to music, I was hoping that at least one new song would be previewed at the special Beacon concert - it didn't happen . LC, being such a perfectionist, maybe thought he wasn't ready. "Anthem" took ten years to put into production, and look what we received - a perfect gem. Patience, patience, patience - as Jarkko would say.
