What's the $500+ VIP Package?

Post by KaimiK »

Does anyone know what the $500+ VIP Packages involve? I was just seeing what was available at the presale this morning - preparing for when I'm going to buy tix on Wednesday. Very happy to say that good seats were still available at each show! Thanks for helping to thwart Ticketmaster scammers Jarkko!

To be honest, I don't know. In Finland similar VIP tickets include best possible seating, dinner before the show etc. but I'm not sure how it goes in North America.

Hmmm, a mystery. I can't seem to dig up information on the VIP packages anywhere. Thank you again for your great efforts with this presale. I've been checking now and then and I can still get a great single ticket in MD. Amazing. I'm just trying to figure out if it's best to buy what you can get at 10:00am or take your chances a little later on. Oh, the agony of not knowing! Guess I'll find out Wednesday morning one way or the other. Any tips from those who bought tix today?

I just went online and tried out to see if there were still tickets on the presale for the Nokia show and there are!!! And decent tickets too. What a difference from the Beacon show scenario. Thank you, thank you, Jarkko and everyone else involved in figuring this out: let's hope the other presales work similarly.

The seat I found was at Meriweather Post in Columbia, Maryland. The seat was the first row in the second section back, not center, but just barely off to one side. I've been to Meriweather before and that's a really good seat - for a Jimmy Buffet show anyway! I'm on the other side of the country now though, and will be trying to get a ticket in Seattle. I just can't resist checking the other presales - I'm so amazed there are still tickets. (Don't worry, I release the ticket as soon as I've seen if one's available!) If the next presale works similarly, this will be the first time I've gotten a decent seat through Ticketmaster, though I've tried many times! Hugs to all, we must be the happiest group in the world to finally be getting tickets!

I love Lenny and all, but that is not worth 500 bucks, ecspecially in this economy.

Since I logged on and got tickets for Seattle ASAP this morning, I have to believe that they are holding onto a lot of seats for the VIP packages, and would, presumably, release them at a later date if the VIP option undersells.

There were no options for close seats, at any price, in this pre-sale. Again, I don't blame jarkko at all, but it seems that there were only certain tickets that were available this morning.

But I'm in. .. WOOT!

FYI, It's not $500 everywhere. The VIP package at Red Rocks is $150.

I logged in to the Seattle pre-sale a nano second after 10am this morning. I got Row 26.I am delighted that I got in, but I was expecting a closer in seat and was willing to pay the price. The VIP seats did not appear to be an option yet. Were there ANY tickets at the $250 price this morning? Anybody here get one? What is up with that? I see on line the scalping sites are offering up front seats. Ticketmaster has to be scalping their own tickets again.

I was ready right at 10am too, with everything ready to go - and ended up with center orchestra, row 23. Very thrilled to have that. Compared to previous TM experiences, it was almost a miracle! A few minutes later, 1 seat in row 8 came up, section D, at the $170 or so price range, but I had already purchased. Interesting though - I checked VIP just for fun (I only need 1 ticket, so that wasn't an option since they only sell pairs) and came up with a seat in center orchestra, row 11 for $549. Released it right away of course, but it was still there later on. I'm just 12 rows back from that, center section on the aisle and spent $450 less!

Just thrilled to be going at all, but will be checking the other sales. If I end up with an extra ticket, I'll sell it at cost at will call if anyone needs it! Cheers!

It would be really nice if there was a "meet & greet" option in the VIP package or perhaps some sort of contest for a 100 lucky souls at each venue.

I am sure that is so and the best seats of all (well except for LC and party) are reserved for American Express Platinum card holders.

As I posted in another section, here in Detroit it's going for $550 and they are making you buy them in pairs!! Two ticket min. and no more than four max.
