I went to five but I know others went to eight shows.

I could only afford four shows this year (first Manchester, first O2, first Albert Hall and Brighton), so I'm not even in the running. However, my lifetime total of shows is 21 and I've never missed a UK tour, so beat that!
We went to 7 but our finances are now in a very sorry state of affairs. Hope to be in a position to go at least once next year though. I thought it was mentioned somewhere that someone met someone who had been to 16! this year.

I could only afford to go to 5 shows in 2008. I am now into double figures overall, as I saw Leonard a single time each in 1974, 1976, 1979, 1985 and 1993.
I attended only three concerts on the advice of my bank manager but surely with all good things in life it is quality not quantity that counts ( Manchester 17th june , O2 Nov 13th, Manchester 30th Nov )

Be content with a mistake or two. Perfection holds no compromise. It's a prison for perfect people .Where the flag of insanity flies
5 in all .. the great thing was: one with my wife, one alone, two with different close friends and the last one with my 12 year old son!
There is a hole in my bank account and my life to prove it, too, though it was worth it all!

I was at four.Edinburgh 2xGlasgow and Manchester. All great experiences.I wouldnt say one was better than the other but
Edinburgh had the beautiful Castle setting and was the first concert, Glasgow great sound in a very good hall and Manchester was a superb end concert.
I went to Edinburgh with my youngest son, to one Glasgow concert with my youngest son and a friend to the second Glasgow concert with both sons and
then to Manchester with my wife who had decided if you cant beat them join them.
I have wondered how some people managed to take in several concerts because finance apart there is the problem of getting home for work pets family etc.
It has been great fun reading peoples experiences of the tour. Its brought a lot of joy to peoples lives.
Only 3 for me..... Lyon (9th july), Nice (22th july) and Paris (25th november) but my bank didn't like the price I paid for the last gig (161 euros !) Anyway, it was worth it, the show was beautiful, the sound was perfect and to see Leonard Cohen at the Olympia was so moving....
Lyon was a magical night, and will remain a beautiful souvenir.
The gig in Nice was too short (1h30), but it was in a beautiful garden under the trees...and I had the chance to stand in the 1st row !
I went to 8 shows. I started with the 3 Dublin concerts, then took in 2 of the Manchester Opera House Shows, proceeded to the July 02 show (interesting but I won't be back) before rounding up with the 2 Albert Hall Shows the other week. Along the way I met up with old friends, at least one of whom I hadn't met for 20 years. In some respects Dublin was the best, there was a huge excitement and even when it rained there was great solidarity.
