opps oh no, no - not what I meant

originally I had said something like

You seem to be drifting down - I'm talking to much (meaning my post's were pushing yours down)

and then I proceeded to talk to much ...

I was joking about your joking but I'm still wondering if that's Casey's mum?

.......today I saw
an opportunity.
God it looked good
and for a moment I was tempted
to follow
it.........

... it didn't rain today
and I missed it
it always ruins something
a lost little girl, a dog's bark
the search decelerates
to a muted waltz
and a kiss on a cheekbone ...

And it's so wonderful to hear a genuine question that I've been reviewing it for hours before answering. Yes, that's my biological mother's actual voice. Today is the eighth anniversary of her voice only being available with scratches. She was spared what we haven't been - or maybe the world was spared her reaction to it all. She is a passionate individual.

Hi Casey ~

I've just now gotten a chance to listen to that recording of your mother! How lovely and melancholy-poignant that is... I didn't want it to end. You're very fortunate to have that. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Thanks and you're welcome, Red Poppy and Lizzytysh. I'd posted another a long time ago... I'll just put it here too. She was 18 when these were recorded. She would sing to the troops back from the war in hospitals. Her Irish songs were the best, though, like Galway Bay which I don't have a recording of.

I'll listen to it when I get home, Casey. You've made it even more special with your additional explanation 8) . You can sure be proud of her... from her voice to her purpose.

I thought I saw you move
up and down in slo-mo
like a balloon the children use
as a volley ball in the living room

you came my way
so I played too - barely a touch
and you floated away

Hey! Look at that! I almost have some form here. There's some nearly rhythmic stuff and some nearly rhyming stuff. woohoo!

~.~

Casey, I listened to your mum.
I enjoyed it.
