I know, this is a Leonard Cohen forum, but since there may be some overlap between Cohen and Waits Fans and Tom is not really frequently seen here in Europe... Tom Waits recently announced the tour dates for the US leg of his tour, and European dates will follow soon. It may be that the dates are around july, so take a look from time to time at tomwaitsfan.com and check your travel plans

I'd love to see Tom Waits, but the man just really doesn't seem to feel like touring very often. The North American leg of the tour (announced in a fun fake press conference) is lamentably frugal, especially for those of us of the Canadian persuasion. Europe does have the advantage that the distances are much more reasonable. Hope he gets out your way. My head is already about to explode, since I have both Leonard Cohen and Richard Thompson tickets for this summer. To be able to add Waits to the mix would be fantaaaaaastic...

Tom is always welcome. I had a text from a friend last night telling me that Mr. W. is playing Dublin July 30 and 31. I don't know where this info originally came from and I haven't seen anything else......BUT, this is exactly how it happened with our very own Leonard so let's hope. And yes Justin, it would be better than fantastic. The press conference was brilliant This would make my whole year

I wish he was coming to a closer state, or to Canada... He's my second favorite song writer behind Cohen.

Tickets will be limited to two per person with the purchaser’s name – and name of their guest – printed on the ticket. Ticket-holders will need photo ID corresponding to the names on the tickets to gain access to the venues. I'm tempted to plumb for Paris as I saw Tom do a fantastic gig at the Grand Rex in 2000.
