I'm a little confused..

Post by omega85 »

Hi, I'm Karen, and I'm from Newfoundland. I have been in love with Mr Cohen's work since I was 13 or so. I have also been lurking on this forum without registering for quite a long time, and I want to say, first of all, that I enjoy many of the posts here.

I'm looking forward to the show in St John's, providing I can get my hands on some tickets. But, call me crazy, or perhaps I'm overlooking some detail, I have seen many people saying they have tickets for the concerts, but the pre-sale hasn't begun yet, has it? If someone can explain to me, I would much appreciate it. I'm sorry, I must seem incredibly dense to you all.

Hi Karen,
Welcome!
The presale for St John's starts on Tuesday March 18 at 12 Noon (NDT) and ends on Wednesday March 19 at 11:59 (NDT), the password will be given one hour before the presale starts.
Take a look at this website and scroll down and you will find all the details.

What's confusing me is that admission.com only has the Moncton show listed as far as I can see. So where do we go for the pre-sale?

Thanks.

Hi,
If you go to this page:
http://www.leonardcohenfiles.com/tour2008-2.html
and scroll down you will see all the events that are going to have a password listed with the links, phone numbers etc.
At the time the tickets go on presale the links should be active.
An hour before the event goes on presale a password will be issued by Jarkko, either on this forum or on that page, I'm not sure which and you should be able to apply at 12 Noon on 18 March.
If I were you I would do it straight away, as the page says you can either phone or do it on-line, but even though the presale is open until 11:59am the next day there are only a limited amount of tickets available and once gone that's it.
Also because the password is given freely over the net (which to my mind is a mistake) anyone including touts will be able to get their hands on them, so be quick (This applies to you also Karen).
I hope that all genuine Cohen fans can get the good seats and that unlike the UK, the touts get none!!!
Best wishes,
Alan

There is no indication on Admissions or Ticketmaster that this concert even exists..... what is the story ??? It would be great if they only sold the tickets at Mile One box office.... I lined up for Feist tickets and was twelth in line..... they went on sale at twelve... at twelve oh five I was at the ticket window..... we were lucky to get tickets at all... ended up with Balcony ones... then they moved to a larger venue and we still ended up with relatively crappy tickets..... I don't want that to happen again... How can all the tickets sell out on line or telephone while we stood in line outside.??? I think that they went on sale earlier elsewhere..., is that a possibility????

All fan-presales have been cancelled.
Read the most recent information (look at the date of the posts) to avoid confusion.
It is best you check directly with the ticket agency of the venue you're interested in.
