Oh - the missed opportunity! It wasn't nearly as good or as funny as it could have been. I suspect John Sessions doesn't know that much about Leonard Cohen!

I was amused but I kind of thought the same thing. He seems to run out of ideas. Odd since he had so much more time to think of something clever. Doing LC, he was able to sing a lot slower than, say, the reggae lady who went before him. (who did great, I thought) That said, I am impressed by people who can do any improv whatsoever. I would stand there going "uhhhhhhhhhhhhh..." lol

Thank you friscogrl and blondemadonna.

The Royal Canadian AirFarce skit - okay, I laughed! They had me at the Closing Time riff. "I hate them I hate them I hate them".

The gloomy stereotype is so untrue though...if there is one thing I am discovering it's that LC is incredibly funny. As evidenced in the Whither Thou Goest televangelist bit. "Put your hands on the screen".

*sigh* I won't admit I was already doing that.

Haha! I loved the first one and liked the second one. Avoided watching this for some time as I'm not particularly enthralled by parodies. With some time this morning, as well as sound, and access to both, I went for it. As I said, LOVED the reggae schtick, and even though it wasn't as complex as it ought to have or could have been, I liked how he did the Montreal reference at the end of Leonard's. The first part didn't make quite the same sense that the reggae woman made her song. She had more flexibility, though, with her only being asked to comply with a style of music; whereas, he had to do both a 'style' and a specific person. I love the program, itself.

Oh no, I almost woke up the kids making a horrible snorting sound as I covered my mouth trying not to laugh out loud. That was so funny!

I'm glad you commented to bring me back to this, Cate. I had forgotten that Madonna had added another link. It's funny and beautiful at the same time. He'll never stop laughing at himself.
