Re: Molly Sanden's Swedish "Hallelujah"

Wow, those automatic translators seem to have come a long way! I remembered them as basically useless, that's why I didn't try.

At any rate - no relation to the original, right? ;-)

Molly Sanden's Swedish "Hallelujah"

I just stumbled across a swedish version of "Hallelujah", by Molly Sanden. Here's a link to the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sop2Tmikiug Now, if anyone here speaks swedish, I would really like to know what she's singing - I have a suspicion that it hasn't got all too much to do wi...

Re: Master song

I read somewhere that it's simply Trinity. Now, I don't know how true that is... it's a balanced triangle of power and desire. A dynamic balance where one time you think that one is the master, and then it shifts, and the other one seems to be the REAL master now... and then you wonder, is the woman...

Sing another song, boys

I have always found this song fascinating in a very twisted way, and could only partially make sense of the lyrics... so, let's analyze another song, boys (and girls), and let's see if it grows old and bitter! I can only comment on the first few lines, because I simply can't make much of the rest (e...

Hahaha! Thanks for the information. I NEVER buy the Spiegel, only this time I did, for an pseudoscientific article about "the soul". I'm not sure I would even have found the interview with LC, if I hadn't read about it here on the forum!

Thanks again

Hi lazariuk,

those are fascinating questions. I haven't studied Samson & Delilah in depth - if I find the time, I'll be glad to read it again, and if I can make any sense of it, I'll post about it here.

Thanks for the flowers, Lizzy. My hungry ego is always open to flattery and bribes! :-) To be precise, I might have abused the term "dementia" in a rather confusing way - pardon my bad english. Saul's disorder must have been one that involves seizures ("he was struck by god's spirit&q...

Just to add a little more confusion (a.k.a. levels of meaning *g*), here are a few rather biblical ramblings of mine, regarding the first two stancas of "Hallelujah": Now I've heard there was a secret chord That David played, and it pleased the Lord -- We start out with David's youth, when...

Re: Looking for the YOUNGEST first-time listener to LC

(1) How old were you when you first listened to Leonard? As a child, I heard LC played by my father all the time. My first conscious memory of it is from the age of 4. (2) How much did you understand of the sexual/violence references? Nothing. I'm not an english native speaker, so I didn't get to u...
