I don't think so. For example, last year Ray, House of Flying Daggers and The Motorcycle Diaries were all shown at the festival; all of them were also shown in major theatres. (In Toronto anyway.) There are well over a hundred movies shown at the festival - some already have big production companies...

I vaguely remember reading somewhere that Leonard Cohen is going to be in Toronto, ON during the Film Festival in September. Can anyone confirm this? And if so, tell me where and why?
I'd like to go see him if possible.
