This may be old news to the French Canadians here, but the English speaking people probably haven't encountered it and my subtitles are for them. It is one of the masterpieces of French chanson of the '60s and everybody should hear it.

Chanson pour l´aubergnat est un veritable chef d´oeuvre; il reste aussi d´autres gems dans le repertoire de Brassens; je crois que "L'orage" est inouviable, et "Penélope", et tant d´autres

I just tried from work, Lightning... but they're all YouTube recordings and Barracuda stopped every single one of them in their tracks

... so, now, after I get sound at home.
