That sounds like just the best concert! I would love to hear both Anjani and Perla sing live again. So many of the other ones are really cool. And my favourite, Enrique Morente! I have more vacation time, I would love to go to Spain, but I can't go. I have promised to take care of things here. Life is not fair sometimes.

Thanks for the information.
Two weeks ago, Chema warned of these concerts to this Spanish group of fans of Cohen linked to The LC Files. Of course we are thinking to go to Sant Feliu de Guixols on July 20 at 22:30. We can buy the tickets during this week in
http://www.portaferrada.com/.
(Chema has the habit to visit this forum but for some reason, he never writes. He is the best-informed fan that I know. He has his own theories; he thinks that Cohen releases a live disc after every three of study records. Conscious or unconsciously. To see this is necessary to order
Field Commander Cohen (2001, 1979 tour) between
Recent Songs and
Various Positions. This way, I believe that we have to wait for other one study to come a new live. Who knows?

)
Of
Acordes con Leonard Cohen I think that it is a dream. It seems to me almost impossible to assemble all these people and to take them in this small tour in time, but great in distances.
Some of the names of the announced musicians you will be known: Browne, Cale, Morente, Perla Batalla!! For me there are very dear and important others: Aute and Toti Soler. Cohen has many and loyal fans, I think that Alberto Manzano works in this event.
The city of Lorca belongs to Murcia.
Anne ~ I'm very sorry that you couldn't come with us. My promise, I will try to understand better Enrique Morente, now he is not my favorite.

According to the very latest info there might be more cities in Spain to be added to this tour (after those already announced!)...

We did not know is that Anjani will be present in the tour. Will she take part too? Really it becomes into a dream.
The translation of "Acordes con LC" can be "According to..." "In keeping with..." "Harmonious with..." "Chord with...". "Acordes" has two neared meanings; agreement and musical.

I don't wish to be the grumpy ol man on this site and I would have bought a ticket for the Dublin show but for the fact that work makes it an impossibility. However, is there anyone else out there who is growing just a little tired of this TRIBUTE CONCERT notion. The man I'd like to see perform the songs is the man who wrote them and sings them best. It seems there's a danger of a tribute industry growing up out of Leonard Cohen's work and that is not a good thing. Itr's cheap, it's a bandwagon, it's second rate and it isn't the real thing. Solet's beware of this kind of mushroom - it can become a fungus!

I could not see alive WA Mozart, I am too young. Only I could have heard his music interpreted by others. Is this cheap?
Anyway just opinions, I have many and important reasons for being present at this concert:
It is a humble tribute to Leonard (as writing these lines). I know that it will enjoy to me. I will be with my friends. And it is also a tribute to those who have organized it and take part, people as Toti Soler who sang Suzanne in Catalan 32 years ago, they are Leonard's fans too.

Waiting for Leonard
Already they are working in Sant Feliu de Guixols. Anjani Thomas speaks about the importance of Lorca in Leonard, and says to us that both the Spanish and the Catalan are nice languages and adapt to Cohen's environment. I agree very when she says that in spite of that he was born in Montreal, a part of his expression is very Mediterranean. She does not contribute anything new about the disc and tour of 2007.

That is so true. I agree, too.
